Sir, you said well by including long term.
Those stocks used to have liquidity issues and not good for short termers.
@ablyguy please take note.

Expect him when ASI return to cerca 25,000.
Agbalowomeri does not do business at sub 25k
He is busy with WTI, his favorite commodity.

It seems to me that your friend knows what he is doing. I strongly recommend that you take your trading advisory service from him alone.
Don't you think coming into a faceless forum to seek such advice is risky?
Just do whatever your friend says for you to do and I think you will be just fine.

Oga Meshpips, while your advice was good, I strongly disagree with the bolded!
You said this simply because it worked for the friend and you predicted that Zenith will touch 10.90 or is it 11.90 or thereabout......again.
Do you know if purchasing Zee at 11 by the friend was mere coincidence?
I just felt your advice was one-sided without taking all other factors/risks into consideration here.
Some people took advice from faceless forum and are doing fine as well, especially when the advice is not biased and, is with a good intention.

BEST ARTICLE OF THE DAY.

PREPARE FOR A DECADE OF LOW STOCK MARKET RETURNS
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/stock-market-valuations-elevated-low-returns-morning-brief-100032494.html

Applying this article to the Nigerian market is akin to Comparing Watermellon to Apple.

For every Bank of America producing a dividend yield of Circa 3.5% on the NYSE ,We have the likes of GTB that can deliver 13% at current market prices. Even if we discount past dividend payment by 40% due to the loss our banks may incur from this lockdown, many of them will still return a 10% dividend in the current financial year which is not bad. When the economy recovers, Dividend yield should move back to 15% and above.

Secondly most of these western markets are in their peak hence they keep creating new classes of assets and investment instruments. The Nigerian market has not even started though largely as a result of the directionless leadership we have. Our type of markets are not called Emerging markets without a reason.

Personally,i will take the article with a pinch of salt. My advice to investors

Dont let Devaluation meet the Naira in your bank account,Look for lowly priced assets that can weather the storm for the next 6 months and begin to BUY them.

Sir, in my opinion, you should take below advice instead.

Bomboclad:
The truth is, no one can definitely predict the market but we could make predictions. However, this week, things are a bit uncertain to say the least, so I would advice you to watch, and wait for the next opportunity, not this one!

Many times, we as humans do not trust those that we know. His friend got in at an excellent price for this year thus far. Whether it was coincidental or not, I will advice him a thousand times over to seek counsel from his friend and him alone.

Zenith will of necessity retest 11.90 and then quite possibly 9.44 before the proper buying begins.

The thing we dey find go Sokoto dey inside sokoto (trouser). He should take due advantage of his relationship with his friend.

Oga Meshpips, can you tell us when @ the bolded?
If you can accurately predict the time this will happen and tell the Oga, then its fine.
If that oga too can ask his friend about the timeframe it will go back to 11, we will also be glad to know about this too.
The man wants to buy and is looking at the timeframe it will get back to 11, please assist him here.
If you cant, then someone like me will not take your advice to him with a pinch of salt.

Normally I'd read and move on especially since this matter has been overflogged on this forum.

Bro, this is false. In this age of digitalisation it doesn't even make sense.

I had several shares of ZIB which I sold all but a few in tranches. The last sold batch was on qualifying day of March 9th. I only got div for what was left in my account as at March 9th. Didn't get shishi for the ones I sold that day. Wasn't expecting to anyway.

Any broker telling you this should be challenged. Except a registrar is just being lazy or they still employ some analogue methods which I doubt, this should never be the case.

I greet you Sir.
Veritas registrar of zenith is very efficient and they dont make such mistake. It has been proved that First Registrars is known to make this mistake.

GTB sighted at 20!
We expect Zenith to follow suit.........close the gap a little more.
Even if Zenith will retest 11.90, it's not around this time going by Oga Oracle's prediction.
Anyone waiting for Zee at N5 self can keep waiting. grin
Oga Oracle was able to give us likely time direction, Meshpips too should give us such direction.

RabbiDOracle, the UK Chancellor has just guaranteed £50k loans for small businesses with no interests or capital repayments due for the 1st year - folks are about to be awash with money. I can't see a reason why some of these won't end up in the NSE. Somebody's interpretation is free £50k for at least the first year that the right opportunities in the NSE might bring.
