Hello guys...pls I have an important question to ask and I also need you guys advice. Pls I intend joining this business. But am not currently living in Lagos and I also do not have good knowledge about the Lagos road .I also intend to get a car of my own Toyota corolla spec and I have a Budget of two million naira for the car and also renting appartment in comfortable place in Lagos for the business. Pls I need you guys advice on the following questions..

* Must I have a prior knowledge about the lagos road if I join? If no will Google map be easy for me to navigate through the Lagos roads and traffic.

* I have a budget of two million will this be enough for me to get a good corolla and a good area suitable for me to stay and do the business in Lagos?

* Do you guys think it's really worth investing in the Uber business after the epidemic cause this is my whole life savings.

Pls guys I need una candid advice on this issues. Thanks

Every society has got their economically vulnerable ones. This still isn't comparable with Africa, the percentage of economically vulnerable Europeans is nothing compared to Lagos alone.
No one said it was... undecided

So what then is the point of the post? No one ever said there weren't economically vulnerable people in the developed world also.

Maybe. I doubt if it will be verbatim though. But facts stay as facts since it is science and not humanities. Some things are basic and cannot be changed.

Hello ☺️
You'd have to be versed with the roads in Lagos at least to a point in which you can recognize a one way when you see one or you'd know where to make a turn at certain Express
Moreover, no I DO NOT think this type of business is one you should dive into immediately after the pandemic.
Why?
Good question, well after the pandemic the company has obviously made a loss during this lockdown and they'd have to make gains ASAP therefore (I think) cut loose sum bonuses drivers would normally get to boost morale, also I don't think riders would patronize the e-hailing cab for now as most would have spent their cash on stocking up for this lockdown, and even the ones that do have to patronize them would "rough am small" until they see blue Sky's ahead (you follow?)
My counsel wink chill a bit after the lockdown and do an extensive research on your inclinations and where they'd best make profit for you while you observe the e-hailing business just to make sure you don't play above the goalpost
The essence of investing is to make profits or scoree goals therefore be prudent and severely analytical with your approach.
Best of luck ☺️

“Based on the above and in line with the recommendations of the Presidential Task Force on COVID nineteen, the various Federal Government committees that have reviewed socio-economic matters and the Nigeria Governors Forum, I have approved for a phased and gradual easing of lockdown measures in FCT, Lagos and Ogun States effective from Saturday, 2nd May, 2020 at 9am.

34. However, this will be followed strictly with aggressive reinforcement of testing and contact tracing measures while allowing the restoration of some economic and business activities in certain sectors.

35. The highlights of the new nationwide measures are as follows;
a. Selected businesses and offices can open from 9am to 6pm;
b. There will be an overnight curfew from 8pm to 6am. This means all movements will be prohibited during this period except essential services;
c. There will be a ban on non-essential inter-state passenger travel until further notice;
d. Partial and controlled interstate movement of goods and services will be allowed for the movement of goods and services from producers to consumers; and
e. We will strictly ensure the mandatory use of face masks or coverings in public in addition to maintaining physical distancing and personal hygiene. Furthermore, the restrictions on social and religious gathers shall remain in place. State Governments, corporate organisations and philanthropists are encouraged to support the production of cloth masks for citizens.

36. For the avoidance of doubt, the lockdown in the FCT, Lagos & Ogun States shall remain in place until these new ones come into effect on Saturday, 2nd May 2020 at 9am.”
