decatalyst: About the pictures your dog looks good for 7month old, he's same age with mine but has a bigger head than him I think(thou all dogs grow differently on their own) you're doing a nice job keep it up Below are pictures of mine at 6month old, I work him steady so his muscles is quite alarming. Iamanderson what do you think?

IamAnderson What bones do you recommend? Thought chicken bones wouldn't splinter. Or is there a part of the chicken that's softer? |
Re: Diary of my Caucasian Roscoe by IamAnderson(m): 3:32pm On Apr 09, 2020 |
DemiVonKrone:take out chicken bones as a whole except it's a very soft part. the best bones to feed dogs for me should be goat spine. it's soft enough to be eaten completely by both humans and dogs and it's mostly marrow and cartilage. you can even pound it for pups to eat and it's very cheap to get if you scroll back, there was a time I posted a picture of it |

I came out in the morning around 7am to discover that it rained heavily till morning and Roscoe was outside in the rain. he was so dirty, wet and excited probably because of the weather was very cold so I took some pics of him playing and chasing everyone

Lovely caucasian you have there. Please how did you stop him from eating the chickens? I would like to have some birds in same space as my dogs. Please advice sir. IamAnderson: |
Re: Diary of my Caucasian Roscoe by IamAnderson(m): 11:07pm On Apr 28, 2020 |
saxy4c:don't just free the dog around the chickens immediately. allow him to watch them from afar until he gets used to it, when the dog has been desensitized to the chickens then you can allow the dog sniff them but correct any rough behavior you notice. with time, the dog will start leaving the chickens alone freely. but you have to be very sure before you let the dog roam unsupervised around them |

Great thread @iamanderson, I enjoyed reading your journey and Roscoe. Reading how your knowledge of dogs grew is amazing and gave me hope that I can know and train my dog when I get them. Thank you for sharing with us. |

Please what could make a Caucasian stop eating much, this happened today although i dealt with him for entering the bush behind my compound lastnight so he wouldn't eat any rubbish liter on the floor, but by the time i woke up to see him today, he has already vomited the food he ate overnight with some grass particles on another side.so i felt he managed to eat some grass before i got to him lastnight in the bush. After that, I noticed he was lying down and didn't play much the way he use to do, so i took hiim for a walk, fed him a canned food which he ate and i bath him as well. He is still laying down without playing much. |

Conqueror89:the grass he ate is probably what is causing the vomiting, it happens to my dog too when he eats grass. he is probably not playing much because of the stomach upset, give him some time to flush it out of his system and he'll recover 2 Likes |

Abeg make una no vex. The restriction covers Caucasian Shepherd dogs born after 1989. With regard to the cut off tails, such Caucasian Shepherd dogs born after September, 1, 2001 also cannot participate in the European dog shows. Ears cropping is illegal in European countries that have ratified the European Convention for the Protection of Pet Animals. These are Austria, Azerbaijan, Belgium (tail docking allowed), Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic (tail docking allowed), Denmark (tail docking allowed), Finland, France, Germany (tail docking allowed), Greece, Italy (tail docking allowed), Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg (tail docking allowed), Netherlands, Norway, Portugal (tail docking allowed), Romania, Serbia, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and Ukraine. Most countries-members of the Fédération Cynologique Internationale also do not support ear cropping and tail docking. However The American Kennel Club and The Canadian Kennel Club consider ear cropping and tail docking as acceptable to define and save certain breeds’ exterior. Despite the cropping of ears is considered ethically irresponsible it still takes places in some countries. In Germany a dog owner was fined for cropping ears of his Caucasian Shepherd puppy. Ears cropping is prohibited in Germany and the operation was made outside of the country but the German judges considered the dog suffered after the operation when came back to home. https://vbocaucasian.com/ears-to-crop-or-not-to-crop/ |
