The following instances were when the trust of the Southerners were put to test:
In 1966,Aguyi Ironsi,a millitary dictator,WHO DEGREED THE UNITARISM and whose kins men ASSASINATED THE PRIME MINISTER AND THE PREMIERS OF BOTH THE NORTH AND THE WEST,had to be killed for political power to be returned back to the North.

In 1979,Olusegun Obasanjo, also a millitary dictator, handed over political power to a democratical elected president of Northerner estraction.

In 2007,Olusegun Obasanjo,a democratically elected president, hand over political power, for the second time to a democratically elected president of Northern estraction.

In 2015,Goodluck Ebele Azikwe Jonathan, had to be defeated in an election by a Northerner with the support of the South West, for political power to return to the North.

So with the scenarios painted above, you can all see why the core North will,IF IT WONT BE FIELDING A PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE OF ITS OWN,PUT ITS WEIGHT BEHINDE A SOUTH WEST CANDIDATURE!!
Thats what POLL shows in the

This write-up is disgusting to say the least. Now answer the following questions:
1. Are you a slave to the north?

2. Even if the president comes from your village, do you think it would change your life?

3. Why are you obsessed with an election that is 3 years away when you can't even say for sure if the country will survive till then considering how fast things are deteriorating?

4. You in the South produce the resources of this country yet you behave like they are your God, why?

The disunity among the southerners is what is giving the northern hegemony power.

The more the Yorubas and Ndi Igbos continue to see their selves as enemies, the more they will continue to be the Stooges of the northerners.

When people like you talk like this u give yorubas voice to divide the south more

Why not call a spade a spade and say the truth ..

Without zoning ,equity n justice u think there would be unity

Why didn't igbos fight Jonathan , why didn't igbos fight obasanjo

From the write-up, I can smell an ewedu man's body odour. grin

The ewedus are desperately sucking up to the north, some of them are also claiming to be northerners who love bayerabe and hate East just because of 2023. grin

Before 2019, they've earlier tried to pretend to be 'We SSner who hate SE' just to drive a wedge between the SE and SS, but it failed as we continued to burst their real identities as as ewedu nincompoops. grin

They've dumped that narrative and largely gave up after seeing the 2019 result where SE and SS kept voting as a bloc. It pained them so much. We know how they think. grin

Now, the new narrative is to pretend to be Abokiis who hate Nyamiris and love ewedu-eating bayerabes. They think by doing that, they'll influence narratives and hijack APC presidential ticket in 2023. They are really scared and we can only pity them as their narratives keep failing. grin

History is just something for Igbos to discard or disregard at will when such suits their agenda of deception and playing victim.

Azikiwe is the reason a secession clause was not included in our constitution when Awolowo demanded it in 1954.

Do Igbos ever mention let alone blame Azikiwe for the consequences of their illegal Biafra announcement that violated the Nigerian constitution and left others no choice but to move against the SE in conflict?

No. They reserve all blame for their Biafra and civil war misadventure for Awolowo and the Yorubas. God save any Government that hands over to an Igbo man as posterity will never forgive them for the harm that Igbo President will go on to commit against other Nigerians egged on by his naturally hateful, discriminatory, intolerant and tribalistic people.

Were Azikiwe, Ironsi, Ojukwu, Nzeogwu etal not all examples of very bigoted men who only ever saw things from the perspective of using power/force to allow Igbos dominate and go before others unfairly?

What has changed in 2020 where the average ingrate Igbo will tell you he has "enslaved" Yoruba man in his own land merely because Yorubas do not prevent them buying properties and running their businesses peacefully anywhere in the SW?

I am actually surprised Igbos think they are in the reckoning to lead Nigeria anytime soon given their historic display of tribalistic partisanship and unfairness to others.

Are you minding Igbos who always live in denial. Abi Junaid Mohammed is Yoruba ba? Always shouting Yorubas over everything as if the North itself has ever hidden the fact it is the region most opposed to Igbo Presidency.

I always joke that if Yorubas pulled out of the race for the Presidency with only Igbo left, the North will send the trio of Boko Haram, ISWAP and Fulani Herdsmen to frog March even the worst Yoruba candidate into the Presidential race.

That is the mindset and opposition from the North Igbo an has to overcome not competition from Yoruba man who is just doing his own thing, in his lane, and confidently up for the fight.

2023: I Will Rather Have Tinubu As President Than Have An Igbo Man – Junaid Mohammed

Junaid Mohammed, a Second Republic lawmaker at the weekend said he will throw his weight behind Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, a national leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) if he decides to contest the presidency in 2023.
Speaking in an interview with Daily Independent, Junaid said he will rather have Tinubu to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari than any of the candidates in the South East.

He said ” If Tinubu wants to be the President of Nigeria and he asks for my advice, I will say go ahead because I will rather have Tinubu as President than have some of the people in the South-East who are ambitious and want to blackmail Nigeria into ceding power to them”.
“I know that no matter what happens, even if Tinubu were to be drunk, he will be a better President than Goodluck Jonathan”.

Even under military dictatorship, SW had a voice with our sons like Fela, Gani, Tinubu and the likes. not to talk of democracy.

Rather than face that mighty mountain you must climb it is to be insulting the Yorubas who are just happy to prepare, build alliances and compete as the constitution allows them to.

Igbos always myopically focus on the wrong things till too late. They have made this mistake many times in the history of Nigeria. I therefore urge Igbos to continue beefing the Yorubas as if they stand a chance even if all Yoruba candidates are disqualified from running by INEC.

Since the lockdown, a neighbor who works at Alausa, brought LASG parliatives to the eighth flats in my compound, he also shared for people in our street.
Even though he new we are ok, he still felt duty bound to support the other tenants.
When the million boys begins their wahala, my Landlord son was the first to call for meeting in my hood, and that was how the vigilantes started.
He bought four cutlasses, two for our compound and two for the hood.
When Buhari added another two weeks to the lockdown, two days later my landlord son shared another bogus pack of food stuffs to us in the compound.
Everyone in the compound were like again?, this is just two much, he said it's not him, his senior brothers in the US sent money for the items.
And the sharing went as far as iyana ipaja, okota, ikorodu.
Me too, I have also reached out to to those I could, some money, some food stuffs.
A woman who is a tailor has made face masks and shared to us in the compound.
A woman who works at government hospital has been bringing biscuits, fruit juice, milk and sweets for the children in the compound.
Every apartment has made one contribution or the other.
Meanwhile some guys gathered in front of the dumpster they live in, with dozens of beer bottles on the floor day in day out, while their brothers look on in pain.

Who cares what Junaid Mohammed has said about Yorubas previously? He may not like our food or even despise our clothing. That matters nada to the topic at hand.

When it comes to who he wants and trusts as a leader from the south , the very topic of this thread, it is clear Junaid is unequivocal in stating he prefers a Yoruba as President.

Igbo man. So innately dishonest, openly deceitful and impervious to truth. What does it matter if Junaid Mohammed is pro-Northern Oligarchy? In fact Junaid proves my point even more. Power has to come to the South whether Junaid Mohammed wants that to happen or not.

El Rufai shows he now knows this hence his flip-flop of going from saying the North does not have to concede power to now declaring power must go to the south in 2023 for the sake of "equity".

Now if the most hawkish of Northerners, in the mould of Junaid Mohammed etal, insist they can only accept a Yoruba as President, and never an Igbo, is that not proof of the thread title I supported with the example of Junaid Mohammed's position he was not afraid to make public?

If a pro-Northern oligarch, as you put it, openly states he prefers a Yoruba to Igbo then how do you see the exposed and liberals in the North voting or directing their ward to vote?

You Igbos never face what matters which, in this case, is that you are unfancied by all, especially the influential North, to lead Nigeria.

Rather than accept that reality to ruminate on how to change this situation, it is to be insulting Yorubas as if we went to bribe Northerners to trust us more or prefer us as President instead of Igbos.
