leo1234: So in your wisdom, you expect the events of today not to have a material effect on the DY come next year? If I were you, I'd discount this year by close to 25% to have a more realistic expectation of next year. Any extra na bonus (aka jara). Hope is a dangerous ingredient when cooking in the stock market! 5 Likes |

dunsin125: You mentioned using a phone app called Chaka. I know nothing about Chaka as I don't use them. I use a regular and normal Nigerian stockbroker as most people on here also do e.g Morgan Capital, mytradebook, meristem etc With these mentioned stockbrokers, you can register with them and trade directly by yourself on their trading platform. I will strongly advice you do exactly as madam Mcy56 advised. Go about 200 pages back from here and read till date. Then also do the same from page 1 to about 100 too. Most of what you want to know will be there. Then you can come back on here and ask more questions which would show that you have actually read back as advised. And yes, you will need to fill e-dividend forms for the stocks you eventually get to buy with your stockbroker 3 Likes 1 Share |

veecovee:And who told you that alcohol drinking is unrightousness. Since you believe that the intake of alcohol is sin and you also know that rice, corn etc contain alcohol, why then did you not stop eating rice and corn .... I have been able to show you as well as anyone who càres to know that drinking beer or any alcoholic drink is no sin except when you drink them in excess. Anyway I can see that you are a bigot there is no need speaking more on this topic with you. Moreover, I am here to discuss stocks or money and not alcohol. |

Now that I have received my UBA dividend (only for the few unsold units) having sold most a day before the markdown date, conclusively, the markdown date is the single most important date in terms of whether or not an investor gets the dividend. I hope others learn from this. CC. Mercy, Locodemy 1 Like |

lancee: @Bigjay don throw line give one member here na. 0% for 36 months. And he said timing is the key. I don't like the way Dow is rising. It is going too fast. It needs to range around 23,000 to 23,700. So some traders may take profit and keep it within range for a while. Just stay relaxed and watch as prices will rise. Breakout suppose happen for NSE. The coronavirus issue is now behind us. We are now looking at how we will go out and start dining out and going on vacations. For now, airliners, tourism, hospitality sector will still be affected because there is fear to travel. There will be reduction in earnings from these sectors because spacing will reduce the number of people that can stay in a space at any given time. Energy/fuel usage should increase because instead of people ride-sharing, they will prefer to travel alone. Because they don't know who has the virus or not. Interesting times ahead. 3 Likes |

Uchetoba: My friend, eating a plate of corn can't smell from your mouth, while the fermentation process corns go through makes beer smell from your mouth even if you drink only a cup, and that alone can make the Word of God you went out to preach of no effect, and can equally offend others due to its offensive odour, ... this is unrighteousness sir. |
