Islam, as the op above me has said, is the same thing for every Muslim. We all believe in the 5 pillars of Islam which are believe in Allah and his prophet, perform solah, give zakat, observe Ramadan and visit Hajj. It's the same principle for all. The same basic principle. We just av sects in Islam. We all believe in the same basic principle as I've mentioned above. But, it now depends on what the sects is built on. If u go down the rail, that is where we have different beliefs. The Sunnahs follow the Hadith of the prophet and the Qur'an strictly. The sunis follow the teachings of sheik Ahmed tijanniy or sheikh Ibrahim niyass. The Shiite believes in Ali the last caliphate of the prophet to be the real prophet and that Muhammad was false. They claim that it was a mistake on the part of the angel that brought the Qur'an revelation. They also claim the Qur'an is not complete and they have the complete one. From suni, some sects also broke out from them. They are the ahmaddiyah who follows ghullam Ahmad, an Iranian Sheik, tijaniiyahs who follows Sheikh Muhammad tijaniiy and Sheikh niyas, Quadriyyah, they also are also like tijaniyyah but they have different teachings. These sects have different further beliefs but their basic belief is the same thing. I hope I cleared ur mind

Now if I may ask, in Christianity, we do attach our selves, church attacking church, Catholics attacking Pentecostals, Pentecostals attacking Redeemed, so in Islamic or concerning Muslim's, there is nothing like that right? They don't fight one another?

Of course, there is. Each sects claimed to be the right way. Hence, they ends up arguing with each other.

90% of Muslims are Sunnis who vehemently opposes Shias.

All Muslims pray the same and have same principle of believing in one God (Allah) and that Muhammad (pbuh) is Allah's messenger to mankind. Now, this messenger brought the message of worshipping Allah alone and he thought (the way it was revealed to him from God) how to worship Allah and how to live life in general.

The Sunnis believe that every action a muslim takes especially in worship matters must have a basis in Quran (Allah's word undiluted), Hadith ( Prophet Muhammad's actions and demonstration of the teachings of Quran) and deliberation of religious Scholars. Anything asides these references is considered impermissible.

Majority of the other sects of Islam are followers of certain muslim individuals who are considered saints and pious people by their follower. most of them consider these individuals infallible and hence, adhere to every single thing they teach without confirming their references in the Quran and Hadith.

All these sects do debate each other on who is on the true path. And yes, there are sunnis among yorubas, hausas, arabs and plenty other tribes same way there are other sects among these tribes.
