This people in northern Nigeria will hardly be heard of when professionals as making waves. Yet they collect biggest in allocations, infrastructure and appointments.

Late Gaddafi once said Nigeria should be diveded into 2 (north and south). Eastern Nigeria (south east and south south) are willing to stand together on their own but the south west, maybe the fear of dominatikn by Eastern Nigeria is making them to allign with northern Nigeria using the politics of numbers to remain relevant.

To our yoruba friends, in laws, brothers and colleagues: we are not begging you guys for unity but use your inner brains/minds.

Pls,I want you to answer these my questions honestly, that's if you are capable of doing so.
When you igbos aligned with the Fulani and overwhelmingly voted for Atiku during the last election, was that your WAY of showing you wanted to stand on your own?
And when you did that did you use your inner brains/minds? (To use your exact words)

I asked these cos you lots always use every single opportunity to lash out at the yorubas even on an innocent thread as this, insulting a whole tribe of licking the asses of the Fulani and unwittingly covering up your own Fulani ass licking during the last election.
If Atiku had won the election and your man became the v.p,
tell me, would you be writing this now?
If Peter Obi as the v.p is the one doing exactly what Osinbajo is doing now, would you lots be calling him all sorts of derogatory names you always call professor Osinbajo, his wife and even his innocent children here?
Would you not be hailing him, saying "Igbo to the rescue",or "without Igbo Nigeria can't survive"?
I know for a fact that most of you here will even say Atiku's success(that is if he performs better than Buhari)is dependent on the ingenuity of his Igbo v.p.
Like I always say,IF YOU MUST COME TO EQUITY,AT LEAST COME WITH CLEAN HANDS.
Pls,I await your honest answers.

Save a lot of lives indeed. Have you seen the spiralling mortality figures?

If really it was such a promising drug, why has it not helped tame the skyrocketing deaths in US?

It's very dangerous for non-clinical persons like Trump to be making such declaration. That's my point. Particularly when the evidence of it's efficacy is cloudy.

Yes from clinical practice, I do know Chloroquine and HCQ obviously has some minimal action on covid, but clearly not as much as is being hyped.

You are talking like Fake News CNN.

You guys know the Truth, but will always twist what is Obvious to suite you.

1 You did not answer my question.
2. Lot of Deaths doesn't mean it couldn't have being worse.
3. You choose to go the way of keeping helpful information away until "Verified" by same inefficient bureaucratic processes which involves a lot of negative factors including te greedy BigPharma.
4. The evidence of the efficacy of something is cloudy after verified sources say it may be promising, DId they just come up with the word Promising?
5. Let me rephrase : It's very dangerous for Trump to be making advice that Chloroquine is promising in the management of CoronaVirus
6. We all know best treatment of Viral infection is immunity and management with drugs, so scientists should know at this point that it's unlikely for any Drug to perform magic.

1.First, quota system won't apply in this kind of issue.

2.The problem with Nigeria is funding for research of this kind is not available due to limited funding for education and health, and due to the private sector not being large enough to fund such projects.(And a big part of the reason why is because Nigerians are not ready to pay for good education and health care, or to run the type of economy that would fund good education and healthcare)

3.If you notice, he is doing his research not under the auspices of the US government, but under the auspices of a private drug company, and a private university, thus quota system won't apply. Some funding comes from the government though

You seems very knowledgeable.

A bright doctor from the West African country of Nigeria Babafemi Taiwo is leading part of a major study on antiviral drug Remdesivir appearing to treat COVID-19, the potentially deadly respiratory disease caused by the coronavirus, which has killed more than 200,000 people around the world.

CNN interviewed Dr. Taiwo, whose name suggests he is a twin from the southwestern part of Nigeria, to discuss the promising results. Remdesivir, the antiviral drug made by Gilead Sciences, appears to help coronavirus patients recover more quickly than no treatment at all, but it does not significantly reduce death, according to preliminary data......

https://pepedem.com/coronavirus/nigerian-doctor-in-u-s-babafemi-taiwo-is-leading-major-study-on-remdesivir-covid-19-drug/

The person who reported this story is all shades of daft. Is Taiwo his first name or surname? How does it suggest he is a twin, if his surname is Taiwo?

And what does where he comes from in Nigeria have to do with the subject?

The man is a Nigerian! Period! Stop speculating about whether he is a twin or triplet or whatever....!

Fantastic!

This is how people get to respect you, when valued is add. To cement the respect Nigerian doctors have laid in the US, we need to become entrepreneurial; create jobs, wealth and strong companies in the US like the Indians do. When that happens, no one will talk to Nigerians anyhow because with wealth comes power.

Why did Yorubas vote against Buhari in 2019?
In 2011 PDP was the only nation party so opposition was merely not there. There was no other choice considering the political situation of that time.

Against Buhari in 2019? grin grin

Imagine In 2015, many Yorubas voted Buhari just to pinch the South-South and South East. Even with some knowing fully well Buhari will fail. This is laughable now none is talking

APC would have gotten 100/100 if they have filled in a qualified candidate. There are well able men and women who could have that seat.
