Ghana has done 113,000 tests so far for a country of 29 million people with 2,000 cases and 17 deaths whilst Nigeria has done 12,000 tests for 200 million population with 1,900 cases and 58 deaths. These are not new results buh is a backlog catalogue of 18,000 additional test results taken laat week. All 2,000 patients have been isolated nationwide so there's very little community spread because the government organized a massive rigorous testing nationwide with the use of drones to transport results in less than an hour.So Ghana is faring far better than Nigeria. Don't compare the two.

The question that basically changes everything is "will you feed him or her"?...

We may have good structured jobs that may keep paying salaries or stipends while on lockdown, have we thought about majority that have not earned a dime in 5weeks and counting?

If the Govt is not coming to their rescue, the fortunate ones have exhausted giveaways, what next for vast majority of poor ones?...

I think at this point, we should encourage people to practice effective precautions while making a living, if we cant help their situations..

You're so right and on point, these government workers getting paid without working because of the lockdown are always being selfish when they make comments. Who don't like getting paid without working.. to them it feels like they lockdown should be extended with more several weeks Shm, not considering people suffering worse scenerio than covid-19 due to the lockdown

This is the direct consequence of the so called expert advise from folks like Soludo to sound economically smart or hands on with solution to African economic challenges.

What they failed to highlight is that whichever direction you take there will be dire consequences and a very heavy price.

Now the question is which will be worse?

I think easing the lockdown is gonna be at an heavier cost to African economies if no proper vaccine is available soon.

Every course of action comes with its own price however.

As of April 19 when the lockdown was lifted, the country had recorded 1,042 cases, and 99 recoveries.

However, figures from the Ghana’s ministry of health on Thursday showed that the country currently has 2,074 confirmed cases of COVID-19, out of which 212 recoveries and 17 deaths have been recorded.

This implies an increase of 1,032 cases since the lockdown was lifted.
Not exactly, they had a backlog of samples collected and not tested.

And so? What that supposed to mean? Are you telling us more people are contacting the virus bcuz of the lockdown relaxation? Has everyone was tested and those infected totalled 1,042? Isn't testing a continuous thing? Forget jor!

Ghana is following the German model by testing more and detecting early. Look at their death rate. It is very low and their plan seems to be working.

Nigeria doesn't seem to have a plan

To you, anything outside Nigeria is better than your own.you need better self orientation and self discovery. In case you dont know,Nigeria dont do mass kit testing like Ghana does.which is the WHO protocol for COVID 19 Testing. The new Abott PCR machine bought and installed in 6 labs in Nigeria is one of the best in the world, its the type they use in Canada. But since you dont value what you have,I'll leave you to your ignorance.#Peace

I hope we are learning smtn from Ghana. On Monday I'm almost certain all private companies will resume 100% not 60% including banks. This will be very dangerous. Major Markets will also help spread the virus if allowed to resume fully and not monitored. Lol

I know ever since I have been defending Obiano's stand on the reopening of Anambra economy using Ghana as a case study, those making money from the pandemic in Nigeria would come out with analysis or go to Ghana and indirectly unknown to Ghanaian authority create problems to justify lockdown.

Ghana has never practiced total lockdown. What they practiced initially was partial lockdown which was lifted. Some people became overnight millionaires in Nigeria from various fraud under covid-19 funds looting. They will never support lifting of lockdown.

We can't continue this way for the next 2 years if the virus remains with us

Anyway, I will Design a company Logo or Brand for 2500 Only or Website for your Product or Company. Info below
Thank you.personal hygiene is the key here. The lockdown has nothing to do with the reported new cases.Same thing would have happened if the lockdown continued.. How about Nigeria that's on lockdown, are there not new cases?

We don’t need a soothsayer to tell us the cases will rise after relaxing lockdown, the fact still remains that no west African country can sustain a lockdown for straight 60 days

So relaxing the lockdown is inevitable

Benin republic didn’t lockdown business activities are still on.

Benin and togo comes to mind, no lockdown and they are doing better than us with our whole lockdown shit.

Na real 'Hmmmmm' matter o.
That is the only thing to say at this point in time.
But let us add the few words below to our 'Hmmmm'...

Our Darling Daddy last speech was like,
to us, was like ….… ok ok ok,
Sebi you people are tired of keeping safe at home,
Alright alright.

I release you all to go and die if you wish to die.
By 4th of May your desire to die is granted to you.
Just give me one more week to make you stay alive.
By 4th of May you are free to go out and die,
your dying can be possible between 8am to 6pm.
If you escape death within those hours then you can still enjoy my arms of love, to keep you safe between hours 8pm to 6am.

But I remain steadfast in keeping your children alive.
So schools remain shut down.

I will also be blameless before God and man,
so all churches mosques night clubs weddings birthday parties etc, remain shut down till further notice.

No beer joints or amala or isi-ewu or Barbecue or Suya spots or joints shall entertain sitting, buy ur food as take away and waka, if you like sit down and drink,
virus lives on surfaces of tables at least between 2 and 4 days,
so you can sit and eat and drink on table surfaces at joints or restaurant.

Sebi you have superpowers…Tooooorrhhhh.
I will still be merciful unto you,
So not all businesses will open.

I had thought Kano will learn from Lagos, Abuja and Ogun lockdown,
I never knew they were so dumb,
Henceforth let me save their lives they are thereby shut down for 2 weeks, they have died stupidly enough,
washing infected hands and drinking the water,
such foolery in quantum measure!

So your staying locked down is now your personal choice.
I have tried my best.
You have all the rights to continue to work from home stock your home with food drinks and toiletries and remain locked down personally.
I have removed my hands from saving you.

If you wish you can lock down your family and only you will go out and get them daily bread and know that it’s only you out there while your wife and children are safe and locked down.
It is your choice.

If you like dont take absolute care when out there.
If you like bring the virus home to your family.
It is your choice.
The people I sent to give you money food and palliative, they swallowed some of it.
I can't come and kill my self.
I have tried, a father has many children, amongst them you have the Esaus and the Jacob’s,
You have the Judas and the Peters.

It also comes to a time in the life of a father,
he tells all his children both good and bad, that this is how much I can be of help.
I have tried ,
you are of age to know what to do.

If you like choose death and go out any how,
If you like choose life and continue to stay home.
Dont think I am happy releasing you by May 4th.
You all have tied my hands ….plus those who ate and swallowed your palliative and those who have been cursing me that i locked you up because I hate you…Toooorhh you are now free to go out If you like,
Don’t wear mask always,
Don’t wash your hands every 20 minutes.
Continue to shake hands and hug people you have missed during the lockdown.
Continue to receive yeye visitors in your home especially those of you with underlined health conditions and aged parents.

Don’t take sanitizers with you when going out.
Don’t use bleach to clean surfaces.
Don’t do social distancing.
Sebi virus is virus.
During HIV and AIDS we still have many of you who damn consequences and do have sex without condoms.
So who am I to force you to use face mask?
If you choose to die by May 4th.
I release you to go and do whatever you want to yourself,
But as for me, my house hold and for all sane Nigerians, (and for all of us @), we shall choose to live.

We Rise!!

It's all man for himself now o.
