Send them a mail and I think someone will respond to you with forms and KYC details.
The major challenge you will have will be how to transfer money to them or pay money into the dollar mutual fund account.
globalresource:
Is it advisable to invest in stanbic dollar mutual fund now. I have done online research on it. And some of their staff kind of clueless about it. Not satisfied. Any lead? Advise? Process? Explanations? Interest rate? Risk assessment?

Your contribution is needed pls

Thanks

Skye Bank was mismanaged by the chairman who spent hundreds of billions of Naira dabbling into politics supporting a former president of the country

The bank is currently insolvent and acquired by CBN and AMCON in order to safe guard depositors fund

Shareholders fund is currently wiped out except if they can recapitalise the bank

Same thing happened to holders of the former Bank PHB

It's quite risky and whatever you do, safety first before profit.
@Ahiboilandgas I'm also looking to start up the LPG gas business. I want to set it up in a mobile way(home delivery) in Abuja using the required storage moving tank but I've little idea in the biz so i need mentors(people already in the line of business). I studied chemical engineering so I've the knowledge and i can easily read to acquire more knowledge. Fund's is not a problem and I'm also open to partnership cause
1)I stay in lag and I've not been to Abuja before but as soon as the pandemic is over that's where I'm going to base.
2)I'm still in active pursuit of my career so I'm not sure i can give my full attention to the biz so it will be nice if a partner is involved.

Very nice one. There are lots of threads on Nairaland already that discussed it. It's a nice business. In addition, try and get electric air pump in passing the gas to cylinder. It aids faster transfer of gas, like 2 mins, you are done filling 20kg of gas. It also prevent lost of gas. Also, try and get this small Suzuki bus, they call them korope as well. Have a fixed gas filled cylinder there. If any customer calls for home delivery, you can quickly drive down to go sell to them. All the very best.

Mobile peddling of LPG is illegal in Nigeria. However, you can do pick up and delivery for your customers or even give them incentives for using your cylinders, that allows you to just swap anytime they call for gas.

Didnt I read something early this year about legislation to regulate cooking gas dispensing? This was after the catastrophe in Lagos.

May bear checking out as well if planning to set this up.

why? Didnt u tell them what u wanted not necessary from the primary markets,u can get from secondary markets will less tenure like 1.5 years left

I did but many of the stanbic bank staff don't have broad knowledge about fg bonds, I will try to contact the platinum surport team ukay2 suggested and see how it goes this time. N getting tenure less 2 years will be fantastic.

If the fund is up to N5 million, buy FG bond in the secondary market through Stanbic IBTC. You should be able to get 10%

Can one still buy the FG bond secondary market with less than N5m? N3m to be precise. Thanks

It varies, it depends on the Investment house.

I'm interested n following. They might quote you the rates for FG saving bonds, we need the main FG bonds rates. Anytime I ask stanbic of fg bonds, they always drag me to fg saving bonds.

Probably the amount you are willing to invest is the reason why they are bringing you to FGN savings bond

Note that:
FG savings bond 5k - 50m ( for retail investors)
FG bonds above 50m

[quote author=seunpinky post=88930903]I have a different view about this...
People relocate to other countries for various reasons... Those that I know migrated to Canada because of the quality of life which can't be compared to what we have here in Nigeria.
Lemme us my family's experience, my wife works with one of the big 4 audit firms and several of her colleagues have relocated to either UK, USA or Canada.. as with all things, when u get to a new location, you need to do certain things to fit into their society. Accountants in Nigeria wanting to migrate to Canada are usually advised to write CPA, CIA or CFA. Our local ICAN is not recognised there..
I have also seen doctors in Nigeria work as medical assistants in UK because they could not pass PLAB and other required medical professional exams.

To the aspect of saving, like it has been said here by pa Emmanuel and ahib... If u don't have a saving culture in Nigeria, it would be very difficult to save abroad because the system there does not encourage saving, rather it encourages credit system and if you are not self disciplined. You won't save a dime..

There's a story/thread of a young man that saved quite a lot of money doing menial jobs in Canada. Cc tundednut

[@seunpinky, where can i read this story of the young ma that saved money doing menial jobs in canada. please do share. Thanks]

uyo…..nice place, visited and loved the place. so for the gas matter, I have a friend who runs the business, I always wondered how he made profit if he buys from the same place like everyone else. i mean the big gas plants...….when i pressed him he told me that his major source is from "bush market", there they get it very cheap.

what is bush market i asked and he said , they get the contact of bulb tail truck drivers and buy their leftovers. He said they always have, just like our fuel tanker drivers will always short our product, those drivers find a way to reserve gas.

so ,if u can , u may find this source to compliment other more legitimate sources.

then the last i checked, u could get those mini gas plants for as low as 5m, depending on the size of the tank and the system of operation(manual/automatic)..

that not a reliable and lasting source....there must be a margin from bulk dealer to the retailer....any time i refill from major depot compared to Neigbourhood retailers a 400 naira per 12.5 kg is there
