For your information, nigeria has three major dominant tribes and all other tribes can be grouped into them : Yoruba, hausa and Igbo. So gowon is classified under hausa you don't expect me to start telling you that 'panshi' the home place of gowon has ruled nigeria.
Hausa is the dominant language in the north and gowons place is under the north... It's just you that lack understanding

1.First, quota system won't apply in this kind of issue.

2.The problem with Nigeria is funding for research of this kind is not available due to limited funding for education and health, and due to the private sector not being large enough to fund such projects.(And a big part of the reason why is because Nigerians are not ready to pay for good education and health care, or to run the type of economy that would fund good education and healthcare)

3.If you notice, he is doing his research not under the auspices of the US government, but under the auspices of a private drug company, and a private university, thus quota system won't apply. Some funding comes from the government though

Your 2b. Do your research well.
Nigerians are the highest medical and educational tourists from Africa beating Egypt and south Africa by a wide margin. Even within Africa, their education and medical tourism is well known even in Ghana and Benin republic.

So it's not true to say Nigerians are not ready to pay for health and education. Rather, Nigerians are not getting value for money which has led to the abandonment of those services by those who can for better services elsewhere. Successive governments from early 80s left our systems to rot and as they got progressively degraded, brain drain and capital flights occurred.

Another issue is our elites refusing to get involved in endowments for health and education like we see in those foreign nations. A recent case is that of indimi donating $20m to a US university while unimaid is there comatose. Our elites are self builders not nation builders.

Your purported marginalization by the GEJ administration is just your usual media propaganda.
Jonathan never marginalized yorubas, you also forgot that a Yoruba man just left power after serving for 8yrs which most things and positions were appropriated to the yorubas. So to be fair , other tribes need to be given a chance. So you people should stop using that as an excuse for your betrayals
Why are you people not also mentioning that jagaban marginalized you people by allotting the speakership to the north as against a Yoruba person that Jonathan proposed. Jagaban asked all yorubas in the house to vote against a fellow yoruba because he doesn't want any other
Yoruba leader to spring up apart from him

As can be seen that all your media propaganda against Jonathan has been busted with the ineptitude of this current government

At least I know that the chief of Air staff amongst many others is a Yoruba man in Jonathans government
You are too dumb .
So Tinubu of ACN( a minority) prevented the PDP from electing Akande ?? How come APC was able to Gbaja in 2019 despite the scheming of the opposition and the 5th columnists in APC
??.
I thought democracy was about majority having their way .

Buhari is currently not marginalizing the Ibos too since Ibos are ministers in this current dispensation and he's building 2nd Nigeria bridge that has been abandoned for ages

You voted for Atiku because you have always voted for Fulanis since the inception of Nigeria.

—In the infant stage of Nigeria, you formed a government with the Balewa government at the detriment of the other south.

—1979, You formed a government with Shagari even when Awolowo was on the ballot- did the Yorubas scream betrayal?

—1983, you voted Shagari again against Awolowo and even Ojukwu campaigned openly for Shagari - Yorubas just forge on

—1993, you voted majorly for Tofa against a fellow southerner MKO- the Yorubas don’t scream betrayal

—1999, you voted for OBJ (favored mostly by the North) and neglected Falae the Yoruba choice

—Yoruba only voted the Northerner in 2015 and you Igbos started crying over the media of betrayal. What betrayal? Is it not a democracy anymore?

Is it only southern unity when the Igbos dictate the terms? Where is the acclaimed southern unity since 1960?

Igbos are the greatest hypocrites in Nigeria. I have always told the Yorubas on here never to succumb to your pity tactics. We won’t pity you and by God grace in 2023, we Yorubas will vote our preferred candidate.

Don’t mind those guys. If it was before, the Yorubas would have been blackmailed by their pity tactics.

But now I think every Yoruba is waking up to the realities that we need to be selfish too. We shouldn’t mind about how other people will feel about our actions because compassion is not in these guys dictionary. Take that Jonathan marginalization thread for example, see how Igbos supported Yoruba marginalization in their comment. The same hypocrites are here saying otherwise.

These guys refused to vote Awolowo twice and resorted to deputizing for Shagari. They did the same during MKO and Yorubas just forged on with crying betrayal.

Now they are like cry babies trying to blackmail us for voting for our choice in 2015. Even at that Buhari only won by 55% votes and yet these guys will be shouting betrayal. Betrayal of who? When have we ever sworn allegiance to the Igbos or South?

That is the same rubbish betrayal they were accusing Awolowo for in the civil war until we showed them evidence that Ojukwu never released him from prison. They always take situation as their way or the highway!

All their rubbish will stop with the current Yoruba generation.

As a man who is half Yoruba and half Igbo, stop being dumb.

3 million Igbos lost their lives in an effort to leave the mess that was Nigeria, they paid for their values in Blood. When have Yoruba ever kicked against the system in such a fashion.

That some Igbo have sided with Northerners is a shame, but some Yorubas have as well and more frequently. Both groups must support each other to end Northern dominance which has been disastrous for all of Nigeria.

My rule is simple, I would rather have anyone but a Hausa or Fulani in power. At least the economy grew under GEJ and OBJ..

Under Northern leadership the economy always went backwards..

Please stop this nonsense half Yoruba /half Igbo . It's pathetic and nauseating .
Who cares if you are half Chinese /half Arab .

I hope they return History to the curriculum some day .

Please, stop being clever by half, Igbos political destiny in Nigeria has always being tied to the Hausa Fulani since 1960 and this is a fact . In fact , the first time Yoruba/Hausa Fulani collaborated politically was 2015.

Your half Igbo supported the Fulani hegemony in 1959, 1979, 1983 and 1993. Your Half Igbo rejected Abiola in 1993 even when Abiola roundly defeated Bashir Tofa in his home state of Kano .

At the return of democracy in 1999, the Yorubas wanted Olu Falae but your half Igbo in cohort with the Hausa/Fulani foisted Obasanjo on all of us .

No one takes you lot seriously . We were all here pre 2015 and your folks were the greatest unity beggars then .

The uncivil war was self inflicted and was basically the fallout of the NPC(Hausa/Fulani)- NCNC ( Igbo) alliance of the first republic and the isolation of the Yorubas was at the core of that alliance .
Well , the rest they say is history .

The Yorubas you losers vilify played opposition politics for 40years till 1999 .

Don't be stupid dude . No one needs to be paid by Buhari to see through Igbos hypocrisy and crocodile tears .

The reality is that Yoruba have nothing in common with either Hausa or Igbo .

And one of the greatest mistake the Yoruba leaders of that time made was agreeing to be part of Nigeria at independence.
