Both of them mine data from us
Though the US have laws apprehending the extent to which they can extract data
Alas! The Chinese don't have stringent laws as to the extent they can collect users data

That is what they want u to believe, the law only works for private company that doesn't mine data for government and those private companies can mine those data but can't commercialised it.

America is only country that will accuse others for freedom of speech but asange and manning are in jail and snoden in asylum for less than what they slam other countries for.

Funny thing is that EU government trust China more than America as far as data and spying is concern.

Sticking with my RN8 like Eba. I'm still in love with it, and it still meets all my needs till today, so upgrading is unnecessary. They are some people that are still using RN5 here self.

Seems I'll just get this note 8.. rn9s is out of my budget now plus some other complains.. Has Android 10 and miui 12 arrived on the rn8?. That miui 12 is catchy

Even RN8 is a little bit overpriced right now. Android 10 and miui 12 hasn't arrived yet, but it won't be long as RN8 pro in some region have started receiving Android 10.

I'm using the 7a and am enjoying it, Imagine the camera beat the 45k+ infinix hot 8 3cameras,and has a sharper screen,my question for Xiaomi is that why can't they create small screen phones with high specs for people that like compact screens, even if i have money the only options i can see are the outdated Google pixel phones

Which other complains. Did screen issues prevent OnePlus 8 Pro from selling out. Even the RN8 have factory defects too. But you only hope yours isn't one of them.

Why ask Xiaomi when, every other OEM is doing the same thing. Big screen is the new craze and people are buying.

While we're on this subject, you should download "bouncer".
It costs about one dollar but what it does is dt it revokes all the permissions to all your apps (minus core system apps) and will continue monitoring them. It'll grant temporary permission to an app but revoke it when u exit the app.
I think it's worth a try

What people don't realize is that, these days, smaller phones may be more expensive. Why?

1. Battery Size

The larger screen means a bigger frame and therefore more space to fit in a larger battery. A lot of manufacturers for these components are designing them around larger display sizes. Therefore, if you want a smaller device, say 5" or even less, are you ready to deal with 2500mAh or 3000mAh batteries? If yes, next point.

2. Screen Resolution

With a battery capacity so small, you'll most likely have to settle for a lower screen resolution. Yes, there are older flagship devices with similarly sized batteries and QHD screens, but you'll have to realize the flagship SoCs and the display scaling tech they use in order to give the devices more screen on time and longer usage per charge. Still okay will that, well...

3. Price

Now, we've covered two major aspects where the size matters and now we're here. OEMs like Samsung can afford to make smaller devices if they want too. They have the R&grin team and the money to spend on making new components for these devices. That leaves you with a device that has to be expensive in order to meet all that manufacturing costs.

If Xiaomi decides to make a smaller device with a price tag of say $500, would you be willing to make a purchase? Even the iPhone SE that aimed to bring back the small form factor had to use old iPhone 8 components (4.7" display, 1821mAh battery, Single 7mp camera...etc) and changed only the SoC and battery connector clip...and all that costs $450 (64GB).

Do you still want a small screen phone?

Or just don't use the Mi Browser. I always use Chrome. So, avoid the browser and you're GTG.
