Good one
My brother this is far from good news! Why Nigeria? This is not a vaccine! But clinical trial of the vaccine. Meaning to test if it will work, side effects etc. Are we rats? Why can't America and Asia test it? With thousands of deaths there from Covid-19?
You see sometimes, I really wonder if our leaders care for us at all? It will shock you to know that when the clinical trials commences, the government will deceive the poor and vulnerable, especially in the rural centres and use it on them, afterall if they die from complications from the vaccines they die, who will drag with them? It's such a sad tale. Africa is indeed a dumping ground.

I really don't know if these youths don't read or they read but fail to understand. The article is self explanatory, there are countries who have started to develop vaccines for Covid 19 on their own. Nigeria would soon be granted/ listed among these countries to develop vaccines for Covid 19.
The WHO Representative, was clear enough on PTF Covid 19 on Channels TV yesterday.
89 countries have started developing vaccines for Covid 19.
Nigeria has just joined the countries to develop the vaccines, that means Prof IWu and others can develop vaccines for Covid 19.

The news was repeated several times on Channels TV and Ait yesterday
SHUT UPPP!!. WHO To Commence Vaccine Trials In Nigeria and WHO to allow countries to try out THEIR developed vaccines are 2 VERY DIFFERENT THINGS

I know my opinion will be repelled by many people but to be candid, Africans must also contribute to the vaccine development, if we really want to benefit. Africans have being boiling on social media over the suggestion of vaccine trial in Africa by an European scientist. Government of many countries, billionaires, philanthropist, rich individuals and many ordinary people are contributing and donating billions of dollars to this ongoing research. Our government and billionaires can never donate a kobo, instead they are still cashing out and siphoning fund for this Covid19.
If we can't contribute monetarily, we are to contribute in the other way.
It is just as if people are contributing to cook a certain food and you stretch your leg waiting for them to finish, so that you can eat for from it. 'Who does that? '
If you can't contribute to buy the ingredients, at least you must contribute in the cook process.

I think your family wont object to using themselves for trials. We are fine if your family alone is used for the trials.

Dude you're an agent of darkness. Either you lack the ability to comprehend or you're intentionally misleading unsuspecting people on this forum.
Now, sit down read through the article 10 times to allow your underdeveloped brain enough time to understand that your leaders just sold you out.

You are going around quoting everyone that they didn't read the article.....you are the one that didn't read the article...all you have in your head is what you watched on television. Go back to that article and re-read the last paragraph. They have picked over a thousand persons from five countries to test the efficacy and dosage and you here trotlin like a ogbuawa byke. These countries won't be US, China, or even the UK. Get yourself acquainted with world politics and stop feeling fly for nothing.

That a good one...
But must people will never see anything good in actions the government are taking, thou we know that they are not to be trusted but at least let see the effort they are taking whether is big or small..not everything is bad..lets be positive most of the time not always negative..
Re: COVID-19: WHO To Commence Vaccine Trials In Nigeria by psucc(m): 9:59am On May 02, 2020
This is an unfortunate development.

Our government can claim to be producing the vaccine while they just import the B. G. drugs.

This people are not trusted in all their dealings.

Thanks that You are informing people about BSL-4.
Forget BSL-3, No Country has BSL-2 Lab in this continent. I doubt if any country will be able to have BSL-2 in next 25 years.
(Exception are South Africa, (thanks to Whites), and French has theirs in Gabon to research local disease)

And here you will see people asking questions why our Scientists, researchers are not doing anything?
Our Top Scientists can not be compared to a University Students studying and doing research in US, Germany, India, China, Australia.
People in this continent are so thick, We dont have good schools, Average Universities and we are talking about Developing Cures??
We are most unproductive people on this planet , we just want good imported things. Its not our Politicians fault we choose these sucker.

Cure will come from India, US, Britain, Canada or Australia. We can just wish. Last week one of our Politician in Kenya was asking that what we are doing? he was making fool of public as he never did any productive to the development.

Some people hate Brits, Yankees, Indians, Chinese, Japanese, well i dont, You remove these people from this continent, Their Products, their supports, Their Know how and we will be left to eat Gari, Ugali and to kill each other with Tribalism. Our mentality will remain unchanged.

No Hope brother, just no hope.

What will naija contribute to WHO when WHO is not developing any vaccines for COVID 19 biko ?

WHO is coordinating worldwide for human trials for extensive testing due to geo specific mutations of COVID 19 and pooling of resultant clinical data.

COVID 19 vaccines are being developed for trials by MNC companies and state funded R & D institutions in USA , CHINA , INDIA , SOUTH KOREA , EU , UK only
.

Name one Nigerian pharma company doing research on COVID 19 ?

Audiooo research smh

Where is the advanced R & D bio facilities in Nigeria ?

COVID 19 research requires bio safety level BSL - 4 facilities .

Nigeria has none !!!!!!

In Africa only south africa have one BSL-4 lab .

abeg what more to expect when corruption rules the roost in naija and mediocrity is rewarded , now reduced to providing guinea pigs for clinical trials only and false chest beating .

After God (the white man) concocted a potential formula, we subhumans are going to test it out. Yes, I support this. Since we offer nothing to the world let us remain guinea pigs for more deserving races.

They're vaccine trials in other parts of the world: in wuhan, UK and USA
it's nothing special
Nigerians like making simple things complicated

Did you hear when some French Professors were making case for vaccine trials meant to take place in France to be done in Africa? If the vaccine is not developed in Africa, nor developed specifically for Africa, why should the testing be done in Africa? Let them test it where the vaccine is developed. Simple

tha vaccine need to be tested in all races, testing it in Wuhan which is an Asian race will not ascertain it efficiency in the African race.

Are you implying that the conspiracy to reduce Africa especially Nigeria population is a theory, Bill Gates and co had not hidden the fact. Bill Gates talks about it opening.

Gosh, are you daft?

I did not receive those vaccines and over 45 years old and am very healthy.

Take your vaccine, You should not force me to take it by any means. Government around has proven time and time again not to be trusted.
By the way can you explain to us the implication of the NCDC bill? if not to pave the way for forced vaccination.

I rather contact the virus than take any vaccine.

Furthermore, this demon (Dr Fauci) predicted in 2017 that there will be an outbreak. Watch the video and educate yourself.
He said "There will be a surprise outbreak" and again "

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dMyba8hlc0E

It's your prerogative not to accept the vaccine. Hopefully, you submit yourself to get infected with the virus since you don't believe vaccines are good. But seriously, you anti-vaccines individuals are hilarious.
