The problem is our constitution. Deputy governors has no defined role. They just like spare types needed only when the governors can not be available. There is no way there will be no friction. The same thing is with the president and his vice. Our constitution needs general overhauling to be in tune with modern day realilities. Our constitution is obselete not fit for 21st century

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, on Friday, dismissed insinuation rift within the cabinet as he, his deputy and other cabinet members continue have very cordial relationships.

Governor Makinde made this known at the state headquarters of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Ibadan, in commemoration of this year’s workers’ day.

“I have seen in the past weeks some articles which have attempted to divide us. They have insinuated rift within our cabinet and have tried to make it look like we are not united in this battle to restore the economic health of our great state.

If the said deputy truly mismanaged the covid 19 funds. Let him face the consequences. That is even wicked of him to do such a thing at this critical time.

As for people saying that he should be forgiven. I pity you all. Because that is how Nigeria gets messed up. You caught a criminal, instead of allowing him to go down for his crimes. You beg to forgive him. As you are forgiving him. Others are there watching. Planning on how to commit their own crimes knowing that he/she will also be forgiven if caught.


No one is happy punishing people . But it serves as a deterrent to others wishing to commit such crimes in the future. It makes us to know that there are consequences for any crime we commit.
