But if u ask questions, and craft ur application well, u stand a chance of securing a visa.. Just make sure u ask questions in d forum and share ur profile (documents) when u are on the verge of submitting so as it to know if u are good to go or there are somethings u need to add or remove Good luck 4 Likes 1 Share |

librangyps: Hello Librangyps, A SL is a declaration statement/facts while an Affidavit of Sponsorship is legal statement that binds the declaration statement. The Affidavit of Support is a legal statement that binds the statement/declaration of a second/third/outside party. If you're a self-sponsored, your spouse needs to write a Letter of Support and vice-versa. Your scholarship is part of your financial scrutinization and this, makes sense uploading it information to your BS. All the best 2 Likes |

beeodun24: Hello Beeodun24, There is no point hiding your immediate family in Canada especially if they bear same surname. There is a point you would wish you'd included/declared them. Having a tie in Canada can may/can weaken your ties back home TRUE but not necessarily true if you can demonstrate good ties back home. Its also good that she isn't sponsoring and if she isn't a PR yet, don't mention you will stay with her especially if she is a student on the exceptions that your financial status is satisfactory. Your brother with disability is a strong home tie especially if you can demonstrate and show evidence of palliative, warefare/wellbeing, moral/e support. The letters are both used interchangeably though the circumstamces may determine the type of letter to write esp for LOE and SOP. You can try to read the ending of Part 16 for more info on the difference, as it has been answered in different forms already. All the best 1 Like 1 Share |

Good evening house, I am a newbie here. I have a choice to make between doing a PGD or MBA. I graduated with a 2.2 and I have 5years working experience. For the MBA, I have to do a foundation MBA before the full MBA, it is for 2 years, while the PGD is for a year (which is definitely quite cheaper). My main concern is this, I learnt after doing a year PGD, one has 1 year extra to work. MBA, which is for 2 years, I will have extra 2/3 years. Which path is preferable, as I don't intend to come back, but looking forward for post study work visa, PR then citizenship possibly And also, which of the program has the highest chance for a successful visa? |

Hello everyone, I need to make an enquiry please. I printed my statement of account from Dec1 2019 to May1 2020 for my Visa application. My sponsor also hand over her statement of account, same duration to me today. Someone is telling me I am supposed to print from November. Please guide me everyone, the CIC page said 4months, can anyone explain to me if I am shooting myself in the leg. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Luckymama: 7:04pm On May 02, 2020 |
Kellymaria:The CIC website asks for 4 months, so December to May is even 5 months so you are good to go. |

Pls house help me out, how do I reapply and prove that I have a genuine reason for applying for PGC after I have obtained MBA here in Nigeria. I have made the mistake of mentioning the MBA in the first application and I can't remove it again. I was refused based on travel history and purpose of visit and I wish to try this last time before giving up. Anyone with suggestions on these two exceptions.NB. I have travelled only once to the UK in 2014. |

iffyibeh: Just don't talk about it in your next application, don't mention anything about your MBA acquisition as u apply the third time, as the VO that handled your application previously will be different from the one that will handle it now, the only thing I will advise you to do so is to try nd reconstruct your SOP stronger this time, u can mention some of the courses in your proposed program that tickles your fancy, u can browse about them nd then say how it's knowledge will mek u a hot cake in your country u can find a better word though to Mek it catchy. Secondly , if you paid part tuition which is otherwise known as tuition deposit(mandatory payment, paid after securing admission) all this while, try and pay your first semester this time b4 reapplying, and if you have paid first semester tuition lately, try and pay the full year tuition, and have sufficient funds to cover for your stay and otherwise. Lastly, travel history can be waved if the above mentioned is achieved as it is never a very strong reason for visa dismissal, but all the same mention to them you have traveled to UK and u didn't over stay your visa (using bold fonts,), u mention reason y you traveld nd mention y u haven't traveled again since then maybe because of work or otherwise until now, maybe because u need an upgrade in your career, u know better etc. You can gv it a little tym b4 u apply ND see if Canada will ease it's restrictions, while you gather all the necessary documents u need. My advise though, your choice is your best bet! All the best! 2 Likes 1 Share |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Anon123: 10:48pm On May 02, 2020 |
Phatkayconcept: OMG... ... please the number of months of a statement of account plays no part in guaranteeing an approval... How u package, present and show how genuine your intentions are on your SOP is all that matters.. you can use either 4 or 5months statement. Preferably 4months cos of size wen uploading |

JustMellow: Please, what if your Sister is a Citizen already.... She owns a separate condo for your stay and you have personal savings of 50k as POF, paid half of the tuition for an MSc and have employment bond with your exployee who's pledged support to assist with certain percentage of fund per month, hoping you return and maintain your employment position back in Nigeria.... And still having both parents and Siblings in Nigeria to shoulder responsibility and manage the family business and estates..... Isn't that enough tie at home?? If my sister as a citizen pledges to support also, would that affect anything? Please, I'll like to hear your views |

iffyibeh:Hello, sorry about your refusal however the TRAVEL HISTORY is not what you should worry yourself about. your major concern should be the purpose of visit. many applicants have made the same error of declaring their post-graduate qualifications. I can also testify that 2 applicants that applied for a PGD program with their master's degree and still got approved. GCMS notes may sound repeated but you need to be 100% certain that your refusal was strictly based on over-qualification reasons. My advice for you would have been to apply for a POST BACCALAUREATE DIPLOMA PROGRAM. This is the only recognized PGD program in Canada that allows you to obtain credits in a different discipline. let me explain how to make use of these programs; scenario 1: An Engineering student that wants to understand the business aspects of running an organization but obviously did not take business courses in the undergraduate and even masters level can enroll for POST BACCALAUREATE DIPLOMA IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION. Therefore gaining valuable business credits to supplement his previous qualifications. Scenario 2: An accounting professional with a master's degree who wants to understand the relationship/nexus between IT AND FINANCE can undergo a program in POST BACCALAUREATE DIPLOMA IN DATA ANALYTICS. Therefore once again gaining credits in an unfamiliar field to supplement previous qualifications. A lady I know personally as a BSc degree in Accounting and MBA. she is also a chartered accountant and still got approved to study a program in POST BACCALAUREATE DIPLOMA IN FINANCE. Please note that accounting and finance are two different things. hence, The difference between finance and accounting is that accounting focuses on the day-to-day flow of money in and out of a company or institution, whereas finance is a broader term for the management of assets and liabilities and the planning of future growth all the best..... 6 Likes 2 Shares |
