All those tailors made fake facemask . If you could see how the holes are wide enough for tiny droplet, which is carrying the virus, from an infected person , to pass through the face material used in making the facemask.

Please, you all should buy the original ones; the ones used in lab, also the ones used by the doctors during child birth.

I saw a hawker, hawking facemask along the street, I call him(thereby observing a social distance of two metres) ,from where I was i told him to stretch one of the mask for me to see how tight the holes were; only for me to see it was very wide enough for pin to pass through. The hawker's face mask was very fake, and also made with ashoebi material--- no filter.

One thing i hate about some Nigerian : their quick altitude to get something without moral reasoning.

We all need to be very careful. Even if one succeeds in this part of the Op's narration, what about visitors, friends, inlaws, family members...etc that come to visit you.

Please also remember to go with a pen to punch ATM keypads. Afterwards, sanitize it. What I saw yesterday was horrible.

A pen will probably damage the ATM keyboard with more frequent use by large number of the society.

I think going to the ATM with an alcohol based sanitizer is much better.

The ATM user apply the sanitizer to his or her hands after use of the ATM facilities.

If the bank make provisions for water tap that is an added advantages.

Think of this, so many people have died of this disease, so many doctors, nurses, have u heard of laboratory scientists dieing? But they are the once carrying and working on the sample.

Lab Scientist don't neglect safety rules as much as other health professionals. Take it from one who is experienced in lab tech, don't use any mask that is not medical and change ur mask regularly.

Remember that Corona Virus is not the only virus that is deadly, there are bacteria, Fungi, other viruses that could live on ur mask and cause harm to you.

Secondly, masks should be worn in public places, I see people wearing in their cars, it is unnecessary, keep ur masks clean always. You see the way facial wipes are stored and kept clean, so also u should keep ur mask in a clean environment always.

A good and relatively approach may be to soak in soapy water to which some bleach has been added for a couple of minutes.
With appropriate precautions a masks should be better than no mask.

So many people are there bashing Microbiologists, that they are now selling wigs and are Uber drivers. I did my IT in University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital, in their Microbiology laboratory, by the time I graduated I went back to Upth for a job.

I was told that Microbiologist are not supposed to be on the lab, that I need to go and study Medical laboratory Science. There was a power tussle and the Med lab scientist were angry that Microbiologist were stealing their job opportunities and that Microbiologist could work in too many places including hospitals and industries and that it wasn't fair to them as Med lab scientist that could only work In hospitals.

Fast forward 2020, a deadly virus in on the loose, they are now looking for Microbiologist in the lab, we are treated as second class citizens in the medical field. Everyone has his/her role in medical practice, non more important than the other. A Doctor can't do a nurses job, a nurse can't do a lab scientist job and so on.

Let us revamp our medical practice and include Microbiologist, Biochemist, Virologist and so on in our health institutions.

A lot of people have died already because you are taking advice from a nurse that is supposed to come from a scientist.

People are using ordinary cloth as face masks, as a scientist you are wasting ur time, u might even infect urself with another bacteria or virus. Medical masks are disinfected and contain a disinfectant that remains active for a while.

Nothing can pass through a properly worn medical mask, but ur ordinary cloth air freely passes.

Cause of the cost, you can wash and use a medical mask, wash with slight amount of disinfectant like bleach (very little bleach) but no matter the circumstances don't use more than a week. Your health is more important than money in your bank.
