I’m an introvert. Introvert is me. I feel like introverts are often misunderstood and judged a lot. When people don’t understand us, they make up stuff. I rather stay home and listen to Lana del Rey while sipping on white wine than go to a club. I could go to a bar with my friends just to chill, but that’s all it.

That’s why I said I feel highly irritated by people who try to create a gap between the two personalities, many extrovert like introvert people. Bros the mistake most of u "extroverts" make is thinking there's something/everything wrong with being an introvert. Being judged for who you are is what turns most introverts off. I remember when I a kid, I was most times quite, but my younger bro was the outspoken type. So, people like relating with him cos he's "outspoken". What I do then was to totally cut off from such people. I grew up not relating with most of my father's people. People made me felt like there's something wrong with me being quite, but when came to accept who I am then I found my peace and don't bother to impress anyone.

I’m a bit jealous that some of you introverts are able to get into relationships .

I’m chronically introverted or you can just call me a recluse. Back where I grew up, my neighbors didn’t know I ever existed because they only saw my siblings and thought they were all my parents had lol. Got into the university and found it difficult going for classes or even leaving my room that one time I stayed indoors for 2 months straight and had my sister get me all I wanted. Years later, nothing has changed just that I have to be in school every day but after that I crawl back into my room.

Never been in a relationship because I’m not sure if I can cope in one and there’s nowhere a guy can find me to even ask me out . I’ve met a few though but I’m just not interested because I feel being in a relationship would be an invasion of my sweet quiet and private life.

Looking forward to making new friends here .

Growing up I thought something is wrong with my life .. unnecessary shyness not being comfortable with strangers ...I don't know what INTROVERT or extrovert was ..I always thought I wasn't normal..still I can't change lol I lived my life that way .. mostly alone playing video games..or sleeping or watching movies..the only time I can freely mix with people is playing football game wch is probably my hobby...introvert are hard to understand my church members found me wierd ..am the cute type..so it makes others seems am arrogant but that's the opposite ...I can't even handle eye contact with a girl ..am a teenager probably 19 any introvert teenager here?

Yes, everyone goes through depression and stuff, we are human, but for extroverts it’s more a phase of a situation that they are dealing with at the moment. I’m talking about literally lingered with it your whole life, but as you get older you get to understand why.

I speak in public eloquently, I have been praised for that on several occasions. My course mates ask me to tutor them for presentations, I write poems, other literary works and also perform slam poetry. I perform at National events and other well populated shows.
I am an introvert
I comfortably talk to strangers when they need help and also when I need to.
I would rather stay home, write, read, talk to myself in a play, dance, sip on wine than go at the club (in the hope of enjoying myself) because the truth is, I can go at the club, talk to strangers, laugh, dance but I won't be truly happy because that is just not me!! I'd rather have a friend than have dozens I won't really be committed to and my best friend happens to be an extrovert, an Aries for that matter when I am a Libra..very opposite, but with self-discipline and self-development we both understand each other very well and complement each other well..
I am an introvert, I am very approachable, I smile alot, I don't enjoy 'small talks' but will smile and nod just to make others feel comfortable...
As an introvert I have first of all learnt to accept that I am a human being, I feel, I learn, I grow, I make mistakes, I live but all on my own unique terms and if these terms happens to be labeled introverted, Great!!
Shout out to all the introverts here and also to all the extroverts peeping too!!

I don’t agree that all introverts are this way , depressed, anxious and hv low self esteem, I hv met a few , some introverts r even better fighting life challenges better than I do , some even get me over a sad mood cause I am an over thinker. Most are just overly very shy n don’t speak up much .

Lastly babe no matter what u hv gone through isn’t worth holding on to forever , and darling u are too beautiful to even have self esteem issue and u seem intelligent also. Depression is a very serious situation try ur possible best to over come it and get some fresh breeze of freedom . If u believe u don’t need to , then that’s the development that guy is talking about .

�I remember being asked this same questions then in my 100level�. Interestingly hilarious though. Thank God I'm not the only one. For me, they'll complain about me having this 'resting bitch face' but I smile more now esp when I'm looking at someone so they don't get it twisted, it's just hard..
What about staring? Have people complained about you staring too much at them?
