I have lost many friends from preventable causes of deaths in Nigeria.

A woman relocated to Canada from a well paying job in Abuja, I asked her why she took such decision despite the wealth her family has in Abj.

To me it was a preventable death.

That if she remains in Nigeria, same fate may befall her remaining family members.
I quickly understand her reason for relocation and she is happy with herself and family.

My dear, yesterday I left my house in asaba to Issele uku by 4pm, picked some stuff and turned around to start going back to asaba.

This would be around 6pm. on getting to the asaba - Benin express way(that I just passed), I saw a crowd, wetin done happen now now.....i parked my car by the road.

Came down, loo and behold the dreaded kidnappers were operating, we could see them from a distance.

After abt 5min waiting I saw signs that police men where there , so I drove down . They just kidnapped people, how many we can't say, several cars were abandoned along the road.the occupants all ran into the bush.

After awhile the owners started coming out of the bush. But two cars were left unclaimed. We started looking around nearby bushes and found people's laptops and book thrown away.

As we speak now, some people are held captive in the bush. I saw a police dpo around and asked if his men won't chase after the boys? He didn't even answer me.

I just passed this place and was about to pass it again now, it's only by God's mercies that I didn't fall victim. This happened koro koro in my eyes.

Every community has it's issues but our own is without plan to address the issue. This year alone I've heard of this kidnappings along the same road 4x, now I've seen the 5th myself.

I must leave this country. Just have to figure it out.

Those people saying where their is a problem, their is an avenue to make money, pls by all means enjoy.

A country where the constitution is faulty and because of tribal and religious sentiment nobody wants to fix it.

A country where all the institutions are weak. The rule of law in the dustbin.
Politicians assume the position of mini God's. Looting and squandering our common wealth.

I'm guessing this is reason enough to say public hospitals are better by your standards.
Medicine is a very big practice that makes it almost impossible for a private firm to cater for all its departments,reason why many private units are specialist hospitals.
But in that field or aspect they specialise in brother,there is no comparing them with their public counterparts,and I mean the good private hospitals not some makeshift whatever.
2)Can you compare the care and attention you will get from a private hospital attending to just a few number of people to that of a public one that attends to the entire populace of lagos and Ibadan in a day?I mean even their so called best doctors are fatigued day in,day out and you expect good performance from such an overworked person?
They don't even bother to wash their coats again for gods sake
3)Does having all departments mean all of them is running at optimal level?

How many private hospitals can afford to have just 1 Professor of Medicine in full employment, working exclusively for them?

i use lagoon what the name of the hospital that u use ....they have specialist from the uk but only by appointments and on certain days

health care is not suppose to be a business..they cant afford it ....i think an insurance cover universally should be used to run health care enterprise.....no body should die cos of money for treatments

They get their dentists and specialists from government hospital. You should have booked as appointment, you would have met a dentist
