Ma'am, I am FTM too even though my Lo eat alot but I do give him formula and breast milk (Using electrical breast pump to bring the milk out). It makes the baby not to disturb because me and my hubby try to feed him well.

Lol... My 6 weeks old baby not only stares at the fan. My wedding pictures are her personal fave. We have two of our wedding pictures enlarged in a frame in the sitting room; that’s the traditional wedding picture and the white wedding picture.

I was pregnant with her during the wedding. Someone mentioned that she could see herself in the picture. Everyday, she looks at the pictures like it’s her first time of seeing them. If you move her to another position, she’ll stretch her neck to look at the other wedding picture across the room.

At times when she’s crying, we take her close to the picture and she stops crying. Sometimes, she looks at the picture and smiles, almost laughing sef. There was a day she was smiling broadly at my traditional wedding picture and everyone in the room started laughing. She burst into tears making a face like we were mocking her... Lol

On a more serious note, I’m very concerned about how much she looks at the pictures. Although, she stares at the wall, fan and light as well, but those pictures! At times she takes a break from breastfeeding to look at them, smiles, then goes back to feeding again.

Yes, you are worrying too much. Let the child stare at whatever she enjoys staring at, that's pretty much all they can do at this age lol.

I am a FTM with a 2wk old son. I noticed soon after his birth a large bulge on one side of his head that is soft and gives his head and awkward shape. The nurses said its caput and will clear after a few days but we are two weeks now and the bulge is still very much there.... Please anyone experienced this?
Also, my baby suddenly developed acne some days back and its spread allover his face plus he has some on his neck that is larger in size and seems to be peeling off... What can i do to clear them?

Please sabi mamas help me especially the caput issue... Have u faced such before with your Los.

Caput is caused by birth trauma during delivery. It's pressure on the head as the baby trys to come out of the birth canal, or when forceps and suction aid is used to help baby out. It's nothing to worry about and yes it usually resolve by itself from a few days to 6 weeks, but in some cases it will require the use of an infant cranial helmet.

Some massage the head to mould it to shape but it's highly not encouraged due to lack of expertise and may cause injury to the new born.

Go back to your doctor and have them evaluate your baby to rule out other complications and advise on next step.

It's generally nothing to worry about and you can disguise the head with a baby cap if people's opinion will bother you.


The rashes could be newborn acne and this too clears by itself. Just keep baby comfortable and not to swaddled in heavy fabric.

I don't know about why she's vomiting pap but whatever you do, try and keep golden morn away from her diet for now. It's not for babies. Try other homemade foods too

Personally, golden morn is a no no. I don't know about now but I believe Nestlé use to add not for children under age 3. As for vomiting pap, from experience it's normal since you are just introducing it. Switching meals for kids is a gradual process. You could also try your regular meals as some kids really switch from cereal to eba and it's like.

If you must give pap kindly introduce it slowly. You could start by giving a spoon while you re taking it rather than just outrightly introduce it. Her stomach isn't use to it.

Pls is this coco butter palmer good for a year and 6months baby.. The baby lotion I bought for her, she reacts to it, in the sense that she brings out mucus from her eyes, so the pharmacist said its too harsh for her..

Hello ma. why don't you try giving her what you eat. My baby used to throw up anything that is not breast milk. But she will be crying for my food when am eating, so I dish her food along with everyone else. I put her plate in front of her and she picks her food with my supervision. She only started taking pap when she sees everyone taking it with akara. she also just turned one last month but if you see her eating Eba eh. I just mold it for her.
Maybe your baby wants solid food not purees. you can start with noodles, akara, macaroni, amala etc. Find a solid food she loves and garnish it with enough protein.
you may also need to see a doctor for the vomiting. I noticed my baby stopped vomiting and started eating better after she was dewormed. All the best ma.
