My experience at the Ikoyi passport office on 5th of March, 2020

I wanted to renew my passport and my Dad wants to get a fresh passport. I asked a man filing my company's returns if I should be able to do it myself but might need his help in case I got stuck (he has an office in the Passport office).

We were on queue to capture, but an official on sighting my Dad due to age ask him to leave the queue and requested he capture immediately, we went inside the capturing hall and got captured.

We went back to the Servicom lady to submit our files and left the Ikoyi Passport office around 1.35 pm.

Thanks to Nairalanders that contributed one way or the other on this thread. I promise to give back by enlightening all others in need of clarifications on grey areas at no cost. Feel free to ask your question on this forum and I will respond to it so that others too can benefit from it.

Hello bro, for someone applying for international passport for the first time is it possible to get the 64page passport?

I really don't know about this, but if the option is available on the site, then it means it's possible. Mine was 32 pages, first time.

The price is seeing on the page is 17k - 32 pages (17650 Naira precisely i.e plus bank charges), somewhere above someone said that was the old price and should be avoided, there is no other price stated otherwise on their website. I'm kinda confused. Anyone to throw more light.

PS: It's my first Application, not renewal

The immigration portal i visit has 17k oooo. Abeg is it not this one

One is only enhanced physically, federal government said there's no discrimination between both.

I believe they should, buh they might not readily or immediately attend to people. I suggest probably mid-week upwards

I doubt, due to the crowd usually at the office. This would be violating the social distancing rule.

I just made payments for the new passport, am going by next week Tuesday
