The old buildings in Nigeria have both colonial and historical significance. Architectural designs are some of the attractions that draw tourists into a country and one peculiar thing about them is that they speak about the time they are built in. Nigeria has a lots of historical buildings which can attract tourists to the country but unfortunately, the media has destroyed the international image of Nigeria. Nigeria is seen with a negative light all round the world, thanks to our media. It's high time Nigeria media needs to wake up and do her real job. When you travel to several places, you will realise that the so called corruption in Nigeria is indeed child's play when compared to what happens in the west, but the west know how to put a positive spin on it. Croatia is a perfect example. I didn't know the country is full of corruption until I met my Croatian friend who told me EVERYTHING about the country. Another example is if you bribe a senator or any other politician to get a favourable policy, in the west it is called LOBBY which is perfectly legal but if the same thing happens in Nigeria it is branded CORRUPTION. Let's try to adjust and show the positive side of Nigeria. Below are some of the old buildings in Nigeria |
