You talk as if atheists want to ban religion whereas there are Christians and muslims forcing religion on us. In te north, an atheist was just arrested for posting about his disbelief on Facebook.

Yet, Christians and muslims can call unbelievers, "satanic", "demonic", "fools" and evil.

Your Former minister of aviation, FFK just called Bill Gates a demon. This is because he believes that Gates is on some form of satanic antichrist mission to poison everyone in Africa.

First of all, FFK is a mad man. Opinions are like ass holes and everybody is entitled to one. Gates is not a demon. Only a misinformed fool will say such. Bill Gates has done more for humanity, African and even Nigeria than FFK could ever dream of. It's not every opinion of his that I find sensible. Some I do, some I find stupid. Hell, even some Americans protested against Gates, does their opinions reflect that of all Americans?


You said in the North? Let's tell ourselves the truth, Islam in that region is violent. People are forcefully converted to Islam. The ones converting from Islam to Christianity are slain or burned down. But in the South West, Islam is not practiced that way. What does that tell you? Do the math. This violent way is their way of life. Despite Saudi Arabia enforcing lockdown, some dumb Northern youths burned down police stations and vehicles for enforcing lockdown. These people are violent. Simple.

And Christianity is very liberal. I can argue that Christianity is one of the most liberal religion if not the most liberal one. Everyday, our God and religion are mocked and we don't go about killing people for it. Christianity in the time past were violent at some point but no more.

Of course, there are still some who would see non-believers as satanic, but most enlightened Christians in this modern age don't see them as one.

So 5% or less for the whole of Nigeria is what you consider as eroding, that's alright.


3. The issue of shrines is a common issue. Please dont bring anecdotal crap and lies here. Even on Nairaland here, there were two stories from igboland where pastors went to destroy shrines in the name of christianity. Please, dont deny the reality.

4. Then there is Nollywood, where our igbo brothers shine. Now, in Nollywood movies, is the person in the shrine depicted as a good person? Are traditional religions shown in a good light in Nollywood movies directed by our igbo brothers? No. However, the priests and pastors are always shown as saviours of the village. This is what christianity does. It warps your mind against your own religion because you become christian first, igbo second

Arguing with you or making you see reasons here can be likened to pouring water on a rock, cause you don't have an iota of knowledge on the subject matter you speak of. And how many Shrines did the pastors destroy? You're basing your knowledge of tradition, on Nollywood movies.... WTF.
I saw how you were sad when nobody headed your warnings on the Ogbunike counter thread you created, & when you expressed your displeasure, i just laughed.
As an advise to you, Christianity as a religion is very tolerant & forgiving, don't, i repeat, don't try this with tradition.

5. I go to my hometown once every five years. I am not some JJC London akata boy.

Once in 5 years is still very poor, but that's not the case. You basically have no knowledge of the customs & traditions of your people, am i wrong? It's not enough to travel home & not associate & break kola with your Kinsmen during your stay. You see, folks like you are actually part of the problem.

lol, common, it's actually a very emotional movie, it's very boring if you're not into the drama only kind, no romance or action, and very little funny moments, so you may not like it.


it's a nice movie though, just don't let the hype fool you.




EXTRACTION 2020:- 5/10

I watched "EXTRACTION", common people, this movie have one of the weakest plot I've ever seen in a movie, they just basically tried to jump to the action part of the movie in no time at all, the acting was just there, it just shows people just like to see a famous actor with a gun in his hands.

side note: it seems all the movies I've seen from Netflix with the lead actor as a producer turn out to be below expectations, with the exception of Dolemite, the rest seems to be just "meh".

So what is your definition a good plot (mind you for an all out action thriller)?
As far as am concern Extraction has a very simple plot, simple does not mean its weak.

from the John Wicks to the Mad Maxs, Raids, Dredds, you need a very simple plot and intense action, simple plots have done the magic for action packed movies for years, same with video games.
if you only watch movies because plots stick to drama series.

To criticise is to risk offence. The truth remains the truth whether you find it demeaning.

And so far, a lot of people on Nairaland have appreciated my blunt honesty. There are people on the religion section who left religion as a result of my fervent criticism of religion.


And please, if my words are too demeaning for you, then first go and tear the bible and quran. Holy books which call unbelievers "fools", "swine", stupid", "evil" and "hellbound" .

This your comeback is neither here nor there. There's blunt honesty and constructive criticism which the "Jewish sheep" term you used doesn't fall into and the person you referred to didn't call you evil or hellbound or swine for being a humanist ( or anything you have convinced yourself you are)....

And anyone one that leaves his or her religion because of your ramblings on here wasn't religious to begin with.
