efetoski:you are wrong. i already answered you in the previous posts. use an online converter to convert your cgpa into the Canadian format. |

Qudkom:Your table is misleading. If I am wrong what do you think is the 3.5/5 equivalent in Canada cgpa on 4 scale. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by NwanyiOkpa(f): 11:53pm On May 04, 2020 |
Good day, so my sponsor made a deposit to my school. The receipt bears the payer's name and not the student's name. Is this supposed to be this way? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by NwanyiOkpa(f): 11:57pm On May 04, 2020 |
Jadel03: Well, converting from 5.0 scale to 4.0 scale is not a straight forward as it seems. That is why WES evaluation is necessary. Use the free iwes CGPA calculator online to convert your CGPA to 4.0 scale. Two people might graduate with 3.50/5.0 while when you convert it to 4.0 scale using WES, they will have different CGPAs on a 4.0 scale. 1 Like |

I am sorry but your responses are wrong and discouraging. Cc: @Daum 1)You don’t know for sure if he is eligible for Msc or not, as he has not evaluated his credentials with WES yet. 2) He shouldn’t declare his uncle in his application. That’s like shooting his leg unnecessarily. It doesn’t in anyway improve his ties to Canada for a study permit. He may end up getting rejected based on family ties in Canada. 3) Using two sponsors doesn’t actually make your profile as strong as you claim depending on circumstances. It could be seen otherwise actually from an angle. Nevertheless as he said, his mum’s account is stronger so that should be fine. Qudkom: 1 Like |

What does it matter? As long as the university credits your student account. NwanyiOkpa: |

Wunaarroon69: Yes my student account has been credited but i need the receipt for visa processing |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Nobody: 12:02am On May 05, 2020 |
That’s fine then, they will send it to you (you can request if it’s not sent automatically) You’re using your sponsors statement, so it makes sense that he/she paid for your tuition. It even solidifies the genuineness of the sponsorship NwanyiOkpa: 1 Like |

Wunaarroon69:apparently if i had a low CGPA, a credential evaluation from WES will make the difference? have you ever seen a GCMS note that states "applicant does not have substantial ties to Canada and home country"? do you know what a Co-sponsor is? and have you seen refusals based on "visa officers not convinced the sponsor can bear the cost of Canadian education? the co-sponsor, in this case, is directly related. I wish i could share a few applications so you can understand. lastly, you don't need to evaluate your credential to apply for any education program in Canada. p.s: in reference to the bolded having a family member in Canada counts as ties to Canada. |

Naijaforeigner, thank you so much for your response Naijaforeigner. The reason I want to go for the 1 year PGD is because of my sponsor's financial capacity, who is my dad. If I am going for 2 years, the financial burden would be too much on him, so I thought to split it to 2 years to make it easier for him. If there is another way around it, you can let me know please. Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by dommakavelli: 6:01am On May 05, 2020 |
Wunaarroon69: This caught my attention. There is nothing wrong with stating you have a family member in Canada. Especially if the person is your sponsor, you should declare. You could also get the person to sign an affidavit for you to confirm their sponsorship. He should declare your relationship in the affidavit. Also, ask him to state in the affidavit that your purpose of applying for a study permit is solely for the purpose of studying. That in no case you will be a burden on the Canadian social services and the Canadian government. That affidavit could help you a great deal. Note: Just make sure your uncle is not one of those that came here to apply for refugee or humanitarian status and you'll be good. 3 Likes |

Adetayoade1: Good morning bro, If I understand your question clearly, there is no law that forbids one from changing sponsors. The most important thing is to convincingly explain to the VO why that person wants to sponsor you. 2 Likes |

Lekiboboe:Thanks for the response. Can I use two sponsors? In case the two sponsors balance amount to at least$10,000, is it ideal? Secondly, is the school fees included in 10k CAD or the balance is for living expenses alone? Thanks |

Strongwind1960: Well said! @Strongwind1960. However, I have concerns that the bolded suggestion put forward by you as regards @iffyibeh enquiry is misleading and falsifying. You guys shouldn't play smart games on these visa officers because they are always ahead of every applicants at every given time. With due respect Sir and For the sake of records, I may have to refer you to the law that governs the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) Act According to the subsection 16(1) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act of Canada which states: "16(1) A person who makes an application must answer truthfully all questions put to them for the purpose of the examination and must produce a visa and all relevant evidence and documents that the officer reasonable requires" Advising @iffyibeh to conceal the fact that she has attained an MBA certification which she had already included and stated in her previous application is misrepresentation. In this case, she is directly or indirectly misrepresenting or withholding material facts relating to a relevant matter that induces or could induce an error in the administration of this Act. What you guys should know about Canada immigration is that so far you've previously applied for a Visa, all your details including previous filled visa forms and other supporting documents are already stored in every applicant's GCMS Data base and will absolutely be cross-checked by the subsequent Visa officer in order to ascertain that the current information provided by the applicant is consistent with what they have on their system. This is where UCI number plays a pivotal role in all applications submitted to IRCC. That being said, if you refuse not to declare an information in your application (especially level of education and previous work experiences), PLEASE NOTE that if it is found that you have engaged in misrepresentation in submitting your application, the applicant may be found to be inadmissible under section 40(1)(a) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. A finding of such inadmissibility would automatically render the applicant inadmissible to Canada for a period of five (5) years according to section 40(2)(a): @iffyibeh, in view of the fact that you've already filled in your IMM1294E form that you've an MBA, I would suggest you stick to this information in your future applications to Canada. All you need is to justify why you're going for the PGD program in Canada and its lucrative benefits that can offset the cost and difficulty of undertaking the program in Canada when there are similar available programs in your home country. Better still go for another master's program in a different area of specialization. This would also bolster your chances of getting your visa approved. I know several applicants that have successfully secured their visas with second master's program and are presently in Canada. Please don't take chances by putting your application at risk of been charged for misrepresentation. This is a very serious offence in the Canadian immigration, so try as much as you can to avoid it NOW!. I hope this information is helpful to you and other prospective applicants who find themselves in this situation. Be properly guided! As always, it will end in praise 5 Likes 1 Share |

Naijaforeigner, good afternoon. Please I have a few questions to ask, I intend doing my application myself instead of using an agent, which most people advise. My first question is this; 1. I graduated with 2:2 Economics, in my Waec result, I dont have Economics but I have it in my Neco. Which of the results can I use for my PGD applicatio? 2. I have 2 schools in mind, Conestoga college for "Global Business Management" and Cambrain College for "International Business Management". Cambrain after study has 3 months work placement but Conestoga doesnt have. Which do you advise I go for? Naijaforeigner |

Anon123: @Anon123, the OP asked if letter of introduction from employer is important, you said "NO" following your answer to number 1. This information is wrong @ohizzy, be well informed that letter of introduction is a very important document and should be included in your visa application. The letter should be in the company's official letter headed paper and should highlight the following - 1. Your job start date, 2. Your job responsibilities and duties with the said company, 3. The number of hours you work per week, 4. Your annual remuneration and benefits, 5. The letter should confirm the fact that you're a bonafide employee of the company and the organisation is aware of your wish to acquire an advanced knowledge in the field of xxxxxx at xxxxxx school in Canada and all necessary assistance should be given to you. 5. The letter should be written by the HR of the organisation and must be duly signed. Note - With this letter you don't require an employment letter. You can include a study leave letter to further buttress the fact that you would be returning home after studies. It will end in praise 5 Likes 2 Shares |

Hello everyone, please come to my guidance. I am stuck at the 'request for medical exam' form on the study application page. I am not doing medical upfront. So when I clicked on the form, i was able to download the form, and when I marked the 'yes' I want to complete a medical exam on the downloaded form. I received a prompt that I can't save the form with my response. What will I upload back into the supporting documents for medical. Please educate me |
