Covid19: Another Giant Stride As Akeredolu Takes Delivery Of Three Ventilators by Oluwamarc(m): 7:56am On May 05, 2020
The Akeredolu led administration in Ondo State is not just noted for its developmental projects and initiatives but also for its ability to attract investors as well as Firms and other Organizations not only to invest in the State but also to serve as agent of goodwill in the state especially in times like this.
Complementing the efforts of the Ondo State Government in confronting the Covid-19 pandemic, the Committee on Ondo State Covid19 Fund raising has made a donation of medical supplies which includes 3 ventilators to the medical facility set up by the State government to treat those infected with Covid-19.
The items are
Two General Electric Aspire,
Two Digital Mobile X-RAY,
100 Non Contact Infrared Thermometer,
100 Covid-19 Antibody Test Kit,
10 Intensive Care Unit Bed,
40 Hospital bed AND 2 Anesthetic Machine with Ventilator
The World is in the midst of an unprecedented crisis which has put a great deal of pressure on the Nation’s healthcare system as well as that of its component states. It will be recalled that ever since the ravaging virus was declared a pandemic, the demand for Ventilators and other related medical supplies all over the world drastically increased as nations of the world are seen going the extra mile in their bid to get as many ventilators they can lay their hands on.
Donating the Items, the Secretary of the Committee Babajide Akeredolu stated that its decision to donate the item is bore out of its desire to ensure that the Strategies and Preemptive measures of the Ondo State Government aimed at tackling the virus yields fruitful dividends, it also praised the State Government for its efforts in keeping the numbers down in the state, safeguarding the health of its populace and also ensuring that those infected are given the best of medical care, Ondo State is yet to record any death case since its index case was confirmed.
The Committee also added that it will continue to support the fight against the pandemic within its limited means and by so doing, protect the teeming candidates who are the hopes of tomorrow.
Receiving the Items at the State House, Alagbaka, The Executive Governor of Ondo State expressed his appreciation the fund committee members on behalf of the State for the good gesture.
The Governor urged everyone to play their parts to ensure that Ondo State remains safe even as the world battles the killer virus.

how many case of corona virus do they have in Ondo that you want them to waste all the allocation they got from Abuja on ventilators that cost more than $25,000 - $50,000 usd.. if he buys ten, what would he use to pay civil servants as Oil is droping in price and not selling fast

See your mentality, they must have cases before he buys health care facilities?? But he can be buying fast cars up and down that cost less than $100,000

the $100,000 official car the state bought for its executive Governor was purchased at a time when the economy was relatively stable and crude sold above $70 a barrel, and it wouldn't be befitting for the governor to be using Uber...

Ventilator on the other hand isn't a commonly needed health care facilities as it is rarely used.. or how often does Ondo indigene have collapsed lungs due to accident or lung cancer for the state to tie its resources on buying expensive ventilators and keeping it on the gallery

WTF did I just read, did you seriously use the word "waste"? So the only reason they should equip the health care facility is just because of Covid 19, you can as well suggest they sell all the ventilators at the end of the pandemic. You guys are the problem we have in this country and you deserve what ever leaders you have.
