The inflow from the euro bond added to our ability to stabilze the naira in the short term 2 it increase portfolios investments into Nigeria by 100 percent (onvestor confidence ) 3 it mitigate the effect of inflation on the Nigeria masses due to devaluation 4 it improves out credit rating globally in debt markers 5 it reduces the interest paid on local debt 6 it allow local companies acess bond market at cheaper rate not be crowed out 9it allow importation of raw material and equipments at a competatative exchange rate increasing industrialization and jobs,

None of these projects mentioned are productive, for example if you invest $10.8 billion in a project and come back to tell me to forgive the debt due to a virus that affects the world, my question will be;

How much has the projects generated so far, and I will be told as a matter of fact none of the projects is generating enough to repay back, guess what my response will be, there is huge gap between productive projects and the Nigerian govt. embezzling projects.

A project has time, scope and budget. Time takes into account repayment too, you know IMF is not a Charity organisation, these debts are to be repayed and defaults attracts lower credit worthiness for the defaulting party.

ahiboilandgas:
u are very wrong ,the debts is currently used to finance the rail way projects.the kaduna -abuja railways is working used by the masses , the lagos -ibadan has been completed like wise the cargo section is been completed that why they are constructing a new bridge in costain ,the abuja airport to town metro is completed, the warri -itakpe line is completed and working ,the apapa to agege aircondition train is working and the new airport terminals in Lagos and kano , enugu have been completed

Leadera are reflection of the society this was stated over 2000 years ago by a prophet so black nation /society is a reflection of the masses ....if from the masses that leader and President come from so they are a reflection of our characters....i recently read a mother and son killed the junior son in order to be successful in yahoo plus ...or the recent cult wars ....what progress to u expect from a society fill with criminally minded population ? There notting wrong with the land Nigeria but it inhabitant..if u deport all the Nigerians in his land to japan and bring 200m Japanese into Nigeria in 20 years time all the ills of Nigeria will be in Japan

Very true, ahib. Rwanda is garnering attention because of the swift progress so far, but people don't know much about Botswana, the secret (to most), hidden treasure of Africa. Very good GDP too compared to her counterparts.

That's what they want you to think. Rwanda's president is known for past war crimes and a dictatorial approach to governance. He is not very liked by the powers that be, (France e.t.c) hence anything to diminish the progress they have made so far will be pushed. In healthcare coverage alone, they stand out as one of the best in Africa - they are making progress in other aspects too. Not perfect in terms of governance, but who is to say that democracy is the best form of governance?

What's Rwanda's GDP?

A whole country will build an ordinary computer lab, take the pictures and upload to the internet. You people will be here shouting Rwanda is heaven on earth.

Don't let crispy PR images and articles deceive you.

Educate us please: what is Rwanda's GDP? I know of Botswana's. Have you visited Rwanda before? It is not all social media please. I for one is very happy that a few African countries are making progress. If this can spur our useless leaders to do better, then maybe we can reach our own potential one day.

Maybe you are right. My assessment is based on what I saw in my one year of living in Rwanda. It is not just about social media assessment.

You are correct. I actually don't like going into argument here. I worked directly with the government of Rwanda for more than one year. One will weep for Nigeria if you see how Rwanda government works; some would say Paul Kagame is a dictator, he is this or that ..

As at yesterday these are the rates for Money Market Funds, with the three firms I have dealings with.

1.FBN Asset Management 5.3%

2.FSDH Asset Management 6.19%

3.United Capital Asset Mgt 7.23%

Rates are determined by the proportion and duration of Treasury Bills, Commercial papers, FG bonds and Fixed deposits, they have in their portfolios.

The rates are poor but still better than buying Treasury Bills, MMF are also more flexible

It's like you don't know the kind of thread you're in.
If SARS or IRT tracks you and picks you up, your relatives would sell everything they have to bail you and treat the bullet wound on your leg.

Pity your loved ones and avoid crime.
