Beorn: You deserve one chilled bottle of beer for this. Exactly what i told him, it's punishable by death or if there were lenient enough, the 2 individual involved would be poured ash & made to walk nude in the market place, after that they'll be banished & their families had to undergo rituals to cleanse the land. When I told him he knew not what he was arguing on, it seemed as though I was insulting him. Though, we still have a form of homosexual marriage amongst women that was accepted & deemed ok & it's still practiced even now |

JeromeBlack aka Whitelotus, this one is for you... https://www.nairaland.com/5835712/strange-satanism-bill-gates-reno Shebi, Reno Omokri is a Christian? Did you see him calling Gates and Belinda satanic? Yet, you're quick to use the blabbermouth FFK as a mouthpiece for Christians. I didn't know of this thread when I supported Gates and typed something similar yesterday before the thread hit FP this morning. This is to show you that not all Christians believe non-believers are demonic. Once upon a time, polio vaccines were rejected and seen as evils, today all parents want it for their children. That's the same way some ignorant people like FFK will rally against Covid-19 vaccine if it's out, believing some dumb conspiracy theories, but las las, then go still take the vaccine. 1 Like 1 Share |

Re: What Movie Are You Watching Now? by mekaprime: 10:14am On May 05, 2020 |
whitelotus: This whole discussion, what was the aim? was it to insult or enlighten? cause you can't really have both. when you resort to insults, no matter how valid your points, are, it automatically becomes invalid. if you insult your co-debater, how do you want em' to have an open mind or a rational thought towards your disposition, the individual would be fixated on returning the insults back, rather than the message you preach. I had wanted to comment on that from the onset, but i just let it slide. The fact is that every discussion on here, you try to bring in religion into it, for the sole purpose of making the religious seem foolish for clinching to their fate. Wasn't i the person who asked you what a movie about a man kissing a fellow man had to do with religion. 1 Like |

Beorn: True that. Knowledge of Igbo Traditions goes beyond what's online. For one to have a clear glimpse of what our tradition entails, they must be at the front burner of it all to experience it first hand. You ask older folks questions, you observe for yourself how issues are sorted out, & on how things are done in the traditional sense. |

mekaprime: I actually try not to bring religion into this thread. I only talk about religion when it is used to analyse movies in this thread. I respond, I never actually actively bring religion into this thread. Trying to paint me bad will never work as a defence for your religion. Furthermore, I only ever insult people when they are either being purposefully block-headed or aggressive- especially when they insult first. Also, most homophobia is steeped in religion. That is why when the gay topic comes up, I always bring up religion. Lastly, mockery and well directed insults work on some level. Do you know how I left christianity? I LEFT CHRISTIANITY BECAUSE A WHITE MAN CALLED ME A SLAVE. A SLAVE TO A RELIGION THAT ENSLAVED MY FOREFATHERS. I told the white man that he is a no-good racist and left. But even long after, the pain of being called a slaved stayed with me. Being a curious person, I did my research on religion and slavery.......you know how that ends..... 1 Like |

Beorn: The point is that the bible does tell christians rubbish about atheists and unbelievers and there are enough christians to carry out these rubbish in real life. The fact that there are sensible christians does not undo the harm that thousands of ignorant christians will do to the public. The christians in America that still went to church and went on protest (the conservative right in america is mostly christian) will or have already contributed to the spread of coronavirus in America. But someone like you will come and mention the good christians in America as a defence. |

Re: What Movie Are You Watching Now? by whitelotus: 11:02am On May 05, 2020 |
Beorn: False. It is about percentages. What percentage of atheists were in the protest? There are atheist organisations in America. The American Atheists, Atheist Alliance etc. None of them supported such rallies. But churches and evangelicals were are the forefront of protests. |
Re: What Movie Are You Watching Now? by Beorn: 11:05am On May 05, 2020 |
whitelotus: Story for the gods. So, after the white man called you a slave to a religion that enslaved your forefathers, why didn't you go back to the traditions of your forefathers if that's the reason you left? Rather, you left religion all together, ditching even that of your forefathers coz you got emotionally hurt. 5 Likes |
Re: What Movie Are You Watching Now? by Beorn: 11:08am On May 05, 2020 |
whitelotus: Theists are more in percentage than atheists normally. So, how you'd expect atheists to be more in percentage? Besides, coz people protesting are mainly religious people doesn't mean no atheists were there. Did you interview the multitude personally to know all were religious? 1 Like |

That you are denying that "shrines" have a negative connotation in Nigeria is telling on your mindset Your traditional igbo system of government is dead or at best, dying every day with the growth of modern civilization. Beorn: I already knew the traditions of my forefathers long before the white man. I dont know what the hell you are talking about. Do you think I grew up outside Nigeria to white parents or something? Are you mad? You cannot escape the fact that christianity is a foreign religion used to colonise and enslave blacks. That is a painful fact that will never change. 1 Like |

mekaprime: Lol...Beorn, come and see your igbo brother. How can you be defending foolishness in the name of spirituality and tradition? The people from Wuhan China have been buying eating live animals for centuries but mutations happened and now, they got a powerful virus. That people did not get viruses in the past from the cave is no guarantee that they wont get in the future. Bats are disease carrying creatures. There are already cases of bats giving people viruses in other West African countries. Doesn't your bible tell you not to tempt God? You are tempting fate with that cave 1 Like |

whitelotus: I'm not mad, it seems like you are coz you're suddenly all up in your feelings instead of answering the question I asked you. I didn't say you don't know the traditions of your forefathers, rather I asked you why you didn't return to the traditions of your forefathers after a white man's words got to you. You were a Christian, a white man insulted you and instead of returning back to the original beliefs of your forefathers as a middle finger to the white man or as an emancipation from white slavery, you ditched your forefathers' beliefs as well to be an atheist. It doesn't add up. Cool story, anyway. 1 Like |

How can you be defending foolishness in the name of spirituality and tradition? The people from Wuhan China have been buying eating live animals for centuries but mutations happened and now, they got a powerful virus. Interesting, you seem to be on fire today, so Covid-19 happened because of the bolded. Any credible source to this? That people did not get viruses in the past from the cave is no guarantee that they wont get in the future. Bats are disease carrying creatures. There are already cases of bats giving people viruses in other West African countries So in essence & matters of tradition, you're more informed than the people of the community. No offense, but stop wallowing in ignorance, am from Anambra state & i have seen first hand how things work in that cave. There's how things work, If you don't understand it, try to seek knowledge rather than sit at the comfort of your home and say what suits you. There's no need arguing any further, cause you day fall hand big time. Why not head over to Ogbunike community and make your research, you've got the resources for that. |

Re: What Movie Are You Watching Now? by whitelotus: 12:38pm On May 05, 2020 |
Beorn: So, I cannot complain about the alien nature of christianity and its role in the enslavement of my people unless I follow my traditional religion? That is the essence of what you are saying....and it is nonsense. The only reason I sound like a foreigner to you is that I reason differently from you and the average Nigerian. 1 Like |
