Second, these samples were extracted from people who were still alive at the time of extraction because those people have had contact with those who possibly died of COVID-19 or were showing symptoms. So it is expected that most of them will test +ve to COVID-19.

At least that shows they are doing the tests and not just pushing out figures like u posited in that response to Izzou.

Also, I said they rejected many of the initial samples from Kano such that if they tested 100 samples, they probably had received 500 samples (meaning they rejected 400 of them). And the only few dead people who got tested had their samples collected before they died. Some of those people tested negative. Therefore, if 300 people had died in Kano out of which the NCDC had only collected the samples for 20 people (prior to their deaths). And of that 20, say 10 tested positive to COVID-19. You cannot come out to announce that MOST of the deaths in Kano were COVID-19 related. Whether true or not, you do not have the data to back that statement.

I wasn't even talking about dead victims, in fact I was among the first people who agreed that most Kano residents who died recently were buried before 4pm Salat prayers according to Muslim rites and no autopsy could've been carried out to ascertain cause of deaths.

Emerging evidence show that France has a COVID-19 patient almost a full month before the first "confirmed" case.

The man was admitted in a hospital on 27th December for pneumonia but his test result came back negative for pneumonia (by this time, no one knows what coronavirus is). Now his sample (along with other samples from that time period) is defrosted and tested for Covid-19. Out of 14 tests, 13 came back negative and his own positive. After retesting, it still came back positive.

This discovery shows that coronavirus have been spreading all over Europe and the rest of the world long time ago, when all eyes were in China and Wuhan.
