Lizards Eating Cucumber Flowers by funsoul: 11:39am On Sep 08, 2018
My cucumber plant has just started flowering and I caught a lizard nibbling on the flower shocked. After chasing it away I discovered it had eaten some other flowers on other plants. Please gurus in the house any solution?

Thank you. As regards d snails is it the leaves or the cucumber they eat? If you catch them in action and spray sniper doesn't it affect them?

Blend garlic and soak in any vegetable oil for 24 hours.

Add several litres of water.
Spray

Thank me later.

Lizard is nt the culprit behind the damage, i experience the same thing in my cucumber plot in year 2018, early morni i did c cukes flowers scatters on the ground thinking it was lizard. However i decided to broadcast poison on the ground, to my greatest surprise i saw more than ten dead mice (rodents) in my cuke plot.let me teach you how to prepare the poison. Get phostosin tablet( it used to preserve kolanut) blend 1 tab and #20 biscuit together depending on the area of the farm and then use spoon to put it small quantity inside white polythene(the one used to parkage sugar and grdnut) tie it and broadcast in your farm. I believe u wl give testimony.Shalom.

I did apply it,but sincerely i dont think the lizards cause any real damage. I have gone on to plant on a little bit larger scale than that with lizards all over the place and I didn't notice such ever again
Proberably an aberrant behavior or curiosity from the lizards at that time
Honestly, i think they are harmless

Would advise you leave them alone so as not to distort the normal ecology, but if you insist, the garlic-ginger would act as repellant rather than a toxin
You can use what @aquila proffered but keep the nylon(or whatever container you use) open
You can also just get any rat poison you can mix with cooked rice
Please be careful cos any animal that ingests it will also be affected

I actually use Murano but have tried greengo on a smaller scale It's quite productive and disease resistance is not bad also. Although I prefer Murano cos of its size. If u would go for greengo ensure u plant an opv like market more (at least a week before planting greengo) that will give u enough male flowers. Don't know anything about Darina
