I'm not a rep of Xiaomi in any capacity at all but AeroBenin shared this to me and I need to make clarifications.


Xiaomi have an official store on Jumia where they sell their phones at official rates.

All the other shops are 4th party vendors at best and can sell at whatever prices they so choose. Also, with the recent fall of oil prices and the Naira crash, all imported items bought in dollars have shot up in value to reflect the reduced spending power of the naira.

Our fellow greedy Nigerians are now trying to cash out. This is no way the fault of Xiaomi. The price of ALL other phones have gone up too.

That being said, there are respected and reputable sellers here like:

Macbeyland
Ifedith
BlackArab
Noobody

That sell Xiaomi products at very fair prices.

i saw it too, i wanted to get note 8,it is 72k on jumia and 55k on aliexpress. U had to order from aliexpress 4gig/128gig variant for 64k on aliexpress..

The price is way too outrageous on jumia. I will just wait for the price to come down before buying. By the way guys which phone would u advise me to go for? Btw Samsung galaxy A30 and Xiaomi redmi note 7/8?

Get the Note 8. A30 is just meh. Apart from the Samsung brand name and the super Amoled display, the phone has nothing else to offer.

Last year, I picked the RN7 over the A30 and I didn't regret it. If you really want Samsung, close eye and get the A50.

Say no more go for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 it has more features than the Galaxy A30

Haha do you know they produces power bass earphones so they want customers to patronize them that's why they don't include it in the boxes and they're way much expensive and durable.

Jumia has been known to over-price their products. Sometimes, even up to 50% profit on some items. Their shoes and watches are crap too, unless you are willing to spend more. I recommend going to a store to get these things.

It's a jumia thing and not xiaomi.

heck ive seen a tecno spark 2 retail for 72k on jumia.

Xiaomi Piston earphones are not cheap. If included in the box, it'll increase the phone's price by at least 5k. When you handle one, you'll understand what I'm saying.

I'd prefer they put it together with the phone. I think it would be cheaper compared to buying it separately. The ear dot currently is abt 8k in jumia
