It is a white elephant project.

Entrepreneurs create jobs not students.

Igbo businesses will not move. The town does not have the population to support buying and selling businesses.

Skilled labor generated is meaningless without industries to work in. But without industries , what skilled labor will the vocational schools be teaching?

You cannot teach for non existent industries.

Umahi is a failure. Just like all past and current sitting state governors. No difference.

ucham:

No its not a white Elephant project. Many Igbo businesses will move there, and some of our igbos from different parts will definitely be moving to live in Abakiliki.

Also don't forget that Ebonyi has a federal university from which many of her children are graduating and creating jobs. Plus the vocational schools will generate skilled labor.

Louder! Afikpo that ought to be the second city in the state has no electricity. The staff of the federal polytechnic there have all ran away to Abakaliki, the small city. see

He should develop other sectors and cities too. Wasting money on flyovers where 200 vehicles don't pass in a day. Misplaced priority.

Restore Afikpo light and focus more on human capital development and health. Afikpo has been in darkness since 2015.
Oga if you don't like our state pls can you Bleep out of there. we don't need your advise... we love the development going on in our state... we are hard working people and do not depend on any stupid fg. so pack your bag and lugages and leave.bthank you for your little stay so far... Umahi has a heart of a man unlike the governor of Abia state Ikpeazu,
Ikpeazu has been getting 13% oil revenue derivatives without doing quarter if what umahi is doing. Abia state is in a big mess with ikpeazu giving bricklayers contract do construct roads so as to loot abia dry

Kudos to Umahi but let's leave all the beautifications and the fancy lights,How's their economy ? Majority of ebonyians are poor, people from other states are the real developers, Anambra people have 70℅ of the storey buildings you see in Ebonyi, what business can you do there, how many companies & industries exist in the state ? The OP might not even have an investment or business there or probably wouldn't even gamble starting up a business in ebonyi, these are the questions you ask,not some fancy bulbs in the streets.
Another form of land grabbing, or you're just blabbing with your delusional statistics?

Do you want me to count how many Universities in Owerri axis alone?..

My friend you yorubas should stop this propaganda and lies it is tarnishing your image and credibility in investigative journalism.

Osun is very poor and the gold you are talking about has not made Zamfara any better even though they have it in lager quantity let alone Osun.

Ebonyi is young yet doing very well and the truth is they have surpassed Osun state in development with bigger malls and better road network, nobody will choose Osun over Ebonyi as it stands now, even Osun people would tell you that themselves. Stop this self deceit it will do you no good. The real people living in poverty are Osun and Ekiti people.

Go to Osogbo and see Abakaliki boys Hawking Gala and selling Fan Yogo

From these pictures, Abakaliki seem to have more 3 to 4 multi-storey buildings, perhaps than Owerri. I may be wrong though

I can't believe this is the same town I spent more than half of a decade. Umahi has indeed done well

E pain you dearly. No we are more concerned about the level of poverty in Osun that has made most people jump into Osun river trying to end their Life. The Osun state that is so backward and brutally poor yet your brother that heads NBS said there is only 8% poverty rate in that state that's what we should be worried about, is this what he meant by that?.

Stop giving me that nonsense Ibadan has two shoprites, Imo has Shoprite and many others, we dont regard that nonsense.
Lagos belongs to all Nigerians dont brag with it please be warned, it is not your achievement alone.

Does that woman look sane to you?

Stop denying your mother here biko the woman is sane, it was gathered that is is only hunger that chased her to drown in Osun river that's what you should be concerned about not Ebony that is miles ahead of your Osun and Ekiti poverty ravaged states.

Always displaying their hostile behaviours everywhere. Thank God you cannot use matchet in this forum.

Which development is going on in your state? Please travel outside Ebonyi and change your timid and hostile mentality. You celeberate disco lights as development? I just told you that Afikpo, a major town in the state has been in darkness since he came into office in 2015 and residents are leaving in their numbers thereby bringing the economy of the town to a halt and you are not concerned. The road to the only hospital there is also not motorable.

Pictures of Presco junction, Spera in deo and Undensi roundabout are what you have been circulating and celebrating since 2018. All in one out of the thirteen LGA. Can you show us other LGAs? #restoreafikpolight

First u need to change the constitution for you to generate and transmit power independently thats where amajiris will come for ur neck. Barth nnaji's plant is wasting over there at aba because of the useless constitution.

That's where the official agitation will start. Our governors, senators and representative need to make this demand through the executive(Mr President) while carrying the law makers, the people and media along.

How long will we wait for FG to generate and transmit power? We can build this through contribution. We have done this in the east and it worked.

This National Grid nonsense is counter productive.

We have to take bold steps.

Idiot, People try to commit suicide all over the world doesn't mean the people in the location are poor even people try suicide in USA.

There is no Chinese in Osun State mining illegally but your Alimajiri brothers invading the state with Wheel Barrows.

Osun and Ekiti are poor but your Igbo brothers can't stop going there to hawk meat pie, push wheelbarrow and sell Fan yogo.

I wonder why they can't find ordinary meat pies buyers in your developed Ebonyi and rich Igbo Land

What is the logic in leaving rich Ebonyi state to go do business in poor Osun State? Idiot

So there are no Meat pie buyers in the whole Ebonyi to the extent you have to migrate to Osun just to hawk meat pie?
