Leezah: My wife has her properties and investments, I have my property and investments. We also have joint investments that are jointly owned by her and myself. When they are co-owned it automatically goes to the surviving spouse without necessarily having a will 8 Likes 1 Share |

Leezah: Well I wouldn't bank on this. How are we not sure that the FG connived to reduce TB rates considering the fact that 67% of Nigeria's debt comes from domestic borrowing. 1 Like |

Leezah: Okay. For me to take you seriously, start by walking up to a random man on the road. "toast" him, take him out on dates, proceed to see his parents, pay his groom price, rent at least a three bedroom apartment, have at least a car, conduct his traditional marriage and wedding. Then take your groom home. 23 Likes |

Because Bolaji Johnson has N10 million in his account, you can't say the money automatically belongs to his wife, if their is no will If Bolaji does not have a will, they will need letter of administration from the court. Bolajis brother, wife and children will all be administrators of the Estate. But if the account is a joint account. Assuming Bolajis wife is Folake. The joint account name will be Bolaji Johnson and Folake Johnson. Not Mr and Mrs Bolaji Johnson, because this is not valid in the court. If bank account is a joint account with the names of both parties, Bolajis wife that is Folake can automatically have access to the fund in the account even though there was no will 16 Likes 1 Share |

Leezah: It doesn't, have you seen late Gani Fawehimis will? It is the husband's will that will determine who he wants to be his beneficiaries, he can will his houses to his church, government, society, children, wife. Mobolaji Bank Anthony will most of his Investments and properties to Lagos State government. My wife inherited two houses from her father and one from her mother, God forbid if anything happens are trying to say it will belong to me if she doesn't have a Will. Some men will their personal Properties to their children and nothing to their wives. It is their beliefs that the children will definitely take care of their mothers. We have had cases of women in Lagos who inherited their jointly owned houses at the demise of their husbands, only to marry another man who automatically became the landlords of such houses 14 Likes |

My advice to women is that try to make your own money, get married to a man that sees you as a partner. Whenever you want to have important project like buying of a property make sure you make your own little contribution to the project and make sure your name is included in the title documents of the property. To the young men, if your wife is a full time house wife try and set up a business for her. This will put her in a better position if something happens to you. Donald Trump is the most powerful man in the world today, but his wife is not a full time house wife, she also make her own money. 21 Likes |

I guess your wife's parent already trained her to be an investor. In your experience, what is the ratio of the following in investment/ AGm and other commerce evens you attend: Youths (below 35): Older (<60): Seniors Ladies:men Single ladies: Single men Single men: Married men Single ladies: Married ladies I know it will be a wide guess since you are not using accurate data, but what would your estimation be? emmanuelewumi: 4 Likes |

The only disadvantage I can think of is timing. If you go and buy when it has already peaked then you could have your hands burnt. Same thing happened to some people in 2016 iamloyalty: 4 Likes |

iamloyalty: Fine, you've done well. We live by experience, I was with my babe in a cinema, her bag was stolen in the dark hall with her phone , atm card n other valuables in it, before we leave the mall, debit alerts kept rolling in. She has her atm card but didn't set up transfer features on her phone , so the motherfucer thief simply set up transfer features using her phone sim and debit card ,then go on shopping spree. Having checked her email on my phone we saw multiples debit, she was able to disable the card with the help of customer care. It's better you don't have the card at all, than believing it's safe because you hide it under your bed. 6 Likes |

https://www.nairaland.com/5839954/fg-extends-flight-ban-four#89257204 Dollar isn't coming down anytime soon and price has gone up again today. CBN just threatened speculators last week for some kind of experiment apparently and funny enough even at that, the naira didn't appreciate substantially upon the panic that it caused. It's like there is no remedy for naira till oil goes up,perhaps next year. That 385 parallel rate they talk about might not happen anytime soon. 1 Like |

ahiboilandgas: It's an unsecured bond. Meaning if there is a default, the bond holder looses completely and cannot even fight it. You can see from the rates, the riskier the more. But if the wind heads south, you are on your own |

ahiboilandgas: I have not heard of any corporate bond that failed in the last 15 years, the worst case scenario is for the company to pay back before the stipulated duration. United Capital is the only listed Investment Banking firm in the country |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by emmanuelewumi(m): 6:10pm On May 06, 2020 |
unite4real: Not secured or guaranteed for you to earn the coupon for 5 to 7 years , you may be paid off within a year or two. Similar thing happened with the unsecured dollar denominated bonds of all the banks , First Bank, Fidelity, Access etc. They all liquidated their dollar denominated corporate bonds before the stipulated period, two months after Naira was devalued 1 Like |
