Here in Ghana, the institution mandated by law to handle direct pension deductions from workers salaries is the Social Security and National Insurance Trust while private Pension managers handle Tier 2 and 3 contributions of workers.

Now you want to teach me software engineering. CS is passion. Some of my classmate were working before we started CS 101 Programming 101. Bill gates already was working for microsoft - before he learnt anything in Harvard.This long story. But when I got to the firm I was interning in. I found this very smart kenyan. He had chosen to forgo medicine degree and had basically written the pension fund management - in oracle forms. I think at some point - after 2yrs - he decided to go to med school - and we inherited his things. Our job in those 3 months was to convert his oracle application to MS SQL Server and Windows forms. We did that - and I recall we spent many nights in many insurance firms. Most pension funds then were run by Insurance companies - and in Kenya - Alexander Forbes had just come on. The highlight was when Alexander Forbes came to us to build their system. I left after 2 months.
