Anambra nearly came last position at World School Debate but mysteriously took pictures with the governor of Anambra State while brandishing placards bearing "we won" only to be exposed on the website of the competition that they actually failed woefully.

The debate consisted of 53 countries. Nigeria, represented by those girls from Anambra placed a distant 48 out of 53. Both the teachers and the students connivied printed a giant poster proclaiming themselves as WORLD Champions.

The state governor received them beaming with smiles, rewarded them with cash and sponsorship programmes to schools of their choice.

It is yet to be ascertained if the team scammed their governor or the governor is a party to the scam. This is such a disgrace only God understand reason for such thoughtless behavior as the student came top in another debate competition held in Nigeria before preceeding to the competition in Bali Indonesia.
