You are trying to say that a clock that died is set in a particular time of the day so everyday when that particular time time reach, it's correct. But I have proved to you that some dead clock are dead because either or both hands are not in it anymore so there is no set time on the dead clock.

A clock can be dead (or stop working) as a result of different things: no battery, no engine, no hour hand, no minute hand etc...

Not all dead clocks are correct once in a while.
