Getting married to Nigerian women or having Nigerian baby mamas is NOT BETTER. Many of the women(either through marriage or not ) forced into babymama situations are not happy about it, and this applies to even the Nigerian ones. what I meant was different from how u understood it , telling that guy , that coming to Nigeria to get a wife or even hv a babymama here is better than other options in my opinion. On the other hand there is nothing wrong being a babymama , Thinking of hving a child two years from now if I ain’t married, and trust me I will be very happy with my life 1 Like |

pDudd: First tip: Leave that your native brain in Nigeria.
If you're the kind of man that will sit on the sofa and be watching UEFA champions league and be telling a woman that she should go and cook, serve you, bring you water to drink and wash hand, you are in for a rude shock. Nigerian women in US have opened eye now o. They are not going to serve you like master and servant while your stretch your legs on sofa and be watching football.
If your mother did that for your father, please go and marry your mother so she too can come and be serving you like a king. Nigerian women ain't doing that for you.
Before you leave Nigeria, better learn how to cook, clean house, do laundry, go to buy groceries, take care of kids, and learn humility.
Learning humility is of utmost importance because the day you step your feet into America, you are now second to every woman. The American society favors women over men. They placea lot of value over men. So if you didn't respect women in Nigeria, you may need to reconsider that stance. And if you can't see yourself having a woman above you or respecting women, then better stay in Nigeria.
Next tip: All you old men that have spent 20 years following Akata and are now looking for unmarriedd younger girls in Nigeria who you want to turn into RNs and use her as your ATM, believing that she is a "good girl" and that she will be a good obedient wife, who will be at your beck and call.
You guys are looking for to go to an early grave and lose everything you have worked for since the 20 years you've been in Yankee. I implore you, please stop doing that nonsense.
There is nothing like a humble Nigerian girl. The ones that appear humble are just broke. The day money enters her hand is the day you will know her true colors. Now in US, you will find an elderly guy in his late 40s or 50s. They came to US in their 20s and hustled Akata for paper, and thereafter became legal. Instead of going to school, gain an education, and improve their standard of living, they take up security guard jobs, CNA jobs, and taxi driver jobs. They spend gruelling years doing these low paying jobs and saving pennies to eventually go to Nigeria and do big wedding and marry a small naive village girl, thinking that they are investing in her so that she will yield fruits and serve him in his old age.
Notice that Nigerian men are always looking for women to serve them cheesy
Well, these small naive girls come to US, go to nursing school, become LVNs or RNs. They then begin to make lots of money and they will begin to open eye grin
Lefulefu come and back me up here.
Those small, naive, village girls suddenly begin making about $3500 or more every 2 weeks. Back in Nigeria, they weren't even making 3500 naira every month. This kind of money blows their minds and they don't even know how to spend it anymore. The man who is her husband and invested in her now wants to control the money and keep her in a subservient position.
At that point in time, that is when the girls father in the village knows that he wants to receive chieftaincy title. Also that is the time the mother knows that she wants to become Lolo of NdiOhia. . That is also when the girls brother wants to open spare parts shop in Alaba. That is the time when the girls sister wants to get married. The entire family of the girl begins to pester her for money. Also at this same time, the girls husband wants to start to build block of flats in Nnewi. Also he feels that he is old enough to receive chieftaincy title in his village as well. All these things costs lots of money.
The pressure on the poor girls starts mounting. She has one or two kids at this point but she starts to work extra hours and overtime at work. Putting in a lot of exhausting energy into trying to fulfil the dreams of everyone. Instead of the husband to understand, he is not sympathetic to her. After all she is his investment and she better yield fruits. She begins to burn out slowly but surely. She needs support at home but the husband expects her to work for 12 to 13 hours, come home, prepare eba and ogbono soup for him, take care of the kids, and then open toto for him to Bleep cheesy. Tomorrow again it is back to the same routine up to 7 days a week.
One day all the pressure gets too much and then the bubble pops. The woman, under intense financial pressure from her extended family coupled with her unsupportive husband and work-family life, crumbles under it all. And what usually kicks it off? Money of course. Or the lack thereof.
The man, wanting to control the finances of the woman, starts a quarrel about how much he invested to bring her to America. Because of all the stress upon the woman and women being very emotional creatures, she snaps. She insults the husband with the greatest insult of his life. She neglects all he has done and acts on emotion. The man too, unable to stomach the insult, verbally and physically attacks the woman.
Now it always ends in 2 ways. If the woman is still alive after the physical attack, she calls the police and they arrest him for domestic violence. She files a restraining order against him and he cannot return back to the house he bought and the home he built.
The second way it ends is that the man attacks his wife and kills her with his security guard job service pistol or he strangles or stabs her to death with a kitchen knife.
In both cases, the police arrive and arrest the man. And then the family breaks up and most times can not be rebuilt anymore. It becomes a broken home with shatters dreams. Dude do you know my brother. This is happening to him right now .the nurse wife in yankee has turned his head upside down. I thank God I never ask for a dollar from him I have blocked him years back on all contacts .these girls are trap once they smell money they chase the men family members |

I’ll say that on the basis of equality and fairness, things are better for women here than it is for women in Nigeria (my personal experience. Anyone feel free to disagree please) but women here still have a loooong way to go in achieving real and true equality. And it’s awork in progress. It took thousands if not millions of years to build the patriarchy, I don’t expect it will be dismantled in a few decades. Why people think that women have overrun America (or the west as most ignorantly call all 1st world nations) is because for those who benefit from the oppression, equality seems like they are being cheated of their birthright. And they don’t know how to adjust to a world where they have to treat others like they want to be treated. Plead:

Cc Pansophist Pdudd Lefulefu LordKO Pocohantas First of all, understand something. The laws in place in the west were setup by white male simps due to feminist pressure. White men are generally spineless when it comes to their wives. I like the idea of feminism, but it's implementation in many accounts is lacking. Secondly, You say "family power" is useless. That shows you lack understanding. "Power" is not about who is in power. Power is about who controls who is in power. Like the old saying goes, the man is the head but the woman is the neck. The neck will always control where the head points. Women are smart. Being the neck means you can rule without necessarily having to take responsibility for your rulership choices when things go sour. Through incompletely thought through yet suggestive requests, these men in power figured it would be good to allow certain laws. Women and children first has always been the motto. Men have always considered themselves expendable. They felt like knights in shining armor after creating these laws because who wouldn't want to "protect women"? In so doing, laws that were meant for one thing i.e protection from physical abuse blah blah blah, have been abused by these same women to one-up men in any domestic dispute that happens. Even look at the naming of some laws. VAWA...Violence Against Women Act...not Violence Against Spouses Act. That shows the intent of these laws and their originally altruistic intent. But as lawmakers never learn, before passing laws, always think about how that law can be abused, and make adjustments accordingly. Sadly they did not tackle these adjustments fast enough and now an entire industry has been built around the intimidation and oppression of men through divorce thuggery. Whenever an industry has been built around a societal failure, that failure then becomes harder to rectify due to special interests. Just look at the diabolic persistence of the generator industry in Nigeria as a result of the government's failure to buildup its infrastructure in time. The only way to truly be safe as a man of his own accord in the west is to simply not marry and to not live together with a woman long enough for common law to kick in. That last one is something not a lot of guys know. Common law is also a nasty trap as well. The way it is set up in the US, women should be the ones paying men groomprice to marry, because they basically can take everything from you if they wake up one morning and are tired of you...even if you have proof that she cheated. There is a saying, "It's cheaper to keep her". To the matter of prenup, yes it is very helpful, but only if you already had some assets from before you married her. Because after you marry her, any new assets are within her grasp. Prenups are not bullet proof though and many family courts do throw it out the window, and all she would have to prove is "He made me sign it under duress" which, if she has a good lawyer (who you would also likely be paying for), could probably be "proven" on some esoteric and weird level. Also, if you ever want there to be a penalty for your spouse cheating, a prenup is the only place to define that. The family court will not factor in that she cheated when raping your wallet and giving her your house in the event of a divorce. However if you must marry, Honestly, the best strategy for western marriage as a man... - Marry a woman who has and makes her money on the same level as yours or more. - Never take on a woman as a financial project. - Encourage her to always think on what to bring into the union as supposed to just what to take because she is a woman.
This will mean a more fair resolution in case things break in the future. That is the only pure way to not get ganked as a man in the West. "I am a woman and a real man would xyz blah blah blah" Is an old, cheap and outdated trick used on easily manipulated men, and women know this. Your wife too should also buy you gifts not just one way. I saw a video of a woman surprising her loving husband with a brand new Tesla. No be human being like una she be? 14 Likes 5 Shares |

If women in USA are as powerful as folks on this forum project them to be,the US would’ve had atleast 2 or 3 female presidents. Unless they’re saying the women are powerful only at the homefront or family level. Such power is technically useless.
Women are always complaining about maltreatment in USA yet nairalanders(some have probably never been to USA before) want us to believe everything is rosy for the female folks in USA.
Cc uffagain i lived in the uk for 3 years so i know what i am talking about. |

Nigerian women in Europe are not the same as those at home.
They re opportunist who will do anything to survive, your best bet is to marry here and move over there with her. |

You haven’t lived in the USA then... you were talking from your experience in the UK its similar laws in both. A man will be jailed if he fails to pay child support whether baby mama ish or from former marriage. No court on Nigeria can send a man to jail for child support. 1 Like |

There is no child whom u will provide for and ahow concern abt that will totally 4get abt u...unless on rare cases which will b due to stupidity on d part of d child...and mind u d US and africa have different mentality towards aged parents..in Africa at old age you become d responsibilty of of ur children...in d US here u will most likely get 'donated' to a care home at old age to b d responsibility of d govt ...irrespective of whether u acquire them in or out of wedlock... THEREFORE d best tin for any man out there who wanna make d best out of life and avoid troubles is 1.Get children through surrogacy or through a legal arrangement...then Bleep as much as u want without being called a cheat. 2. Make enough money as possible save for ur old age...train up d children u have got and live a happy man #SHALOM I wish u luck |

Liliantalks: I just keep laughing at this comment, u think it’s that simple ,, a woman can survive to stay single for ever cause her kids will love her forever,, but for men , u r on a long thing ... kids from one belle can never be compared to that from one sperm . The love is different! Better learn from past experiences o Lol...this ur opinions shld b borne out of ignorance...any1 can bond very well with a child it depends on how u care and relate with...a good number of children have stronger bonds with their fathers than their mothers...it has nothn to do with belle or sperm...it just depends on d child's perception abt u...as a man u can show ur children love enough to gain their own love more than even as a woman would get 4rm them... 1 Like |

My brother God will bless you. These are the points i raised too initially that nigerian men and ladies in nigeria are not as bad as he painted it. To even make it worse, a lot of guys reading the thread are even supporting him and clicking likes. I work and earn decent salary but when you see me at home, you will think am jobless. I cook sometimes for my wife and son, i do go to market regularly, wash toilets, plates or our clothes in washing machine and spread them. The way he portrayed us, like backward, archaic and uncivilized people and we need to drop our native way of thinking when coming to US. A lot of people around me / my circle of friends treats their wives well likewise my extended family and in-laws. I don't know where he got his mentality from and he also thinks people at home are Failures for not been in abroad. I believe he is one of those who after graduating looked for job until he became frustrated and by chance, God answered his prayer after so many fasting, praying, night vigils and going to prayer mountains. Most people around me travel out and come back easily to nigeria and not thinking of running out as Economic Refugees a Leech or Parasites to other country's economy, a burden. I can travel in and out of the country for vacation or education without problem. I don't need a visa agent to help me or pad some documents for me. I will save 2/3 months salary into my account, apply and go for interview on my own and they will give me. Our wives are not slaves, they are happy with us. They have their freedom and respects and never regret marrying us.
Exactly!! People like him think because they live in the US or UK or wherever they live outside Nigeria, it makes them more civilised, more exposed and more successful and knowledgeable than those in Nigeria which is a stupid thinking of mostly young boys that managed to travel abroad by chance through either visa lottery, sham marriage or by chance process. Anybody earning NGN400,000 and above in Nigeria is far better than most Nigerians living abroad. With a monthly income of NGN500,000, you will live a very comfortable life of your dream in Nigeria and even go for vacation abroad, but you will see these guys doing up to 3 jobs and overtime abroad coming online to brag and feel like they are now rich, not knowing that most of us here now do vacation abroad and also have friends and families living abroad that envy us back home. I live in Nigeria and I am more civilized and more comfortable living my dream life than most people living abroad who work their ass off hourly to earn wages whereas people and money work for me....I treat everybody around me with respect and dignity not because I live abroad but because I know what is right and wrong...so I don't need to live in the US to treat my wife well and make her enjoy her marriage to me. My immediate elder brother who also lives here in Nigeria changed his wife's car around February to a latest model car...and just because he was transferred to another state....he changed their generator to a brand new automatic starter generator so the wife won't labor to on the gen whenever light goes off.....the wife is living larger than most of her friends living and married to guys abroad....yet these op was here talking nonsense The op really angered me that I tried to restrain myself from giving him a direct attack that would make him deactivate his account on this forum, what nonsense is that!! When did living abroad translate to being the best or being wiser and more civilised than those in Nigeria. I am writing a book on this nonsense practice Oyimbo is doing; their hypocrisy of castigating patriarchy practiced in Africa while promoting matriarch practiced by the west; what is the difference If they want equality, then don't be bias by giving women upper hand in marital cases......make it equal treatment and equal judgment 11 Likes 2 Shares |
