Bro, good morning. Sorry I had to quote you so as to make my point. I was born in Kaduna, lived in Lagos and did my University in Anambra state University. I am not from Nnewi, but I am from Anambra. I am Igbo by tribe. Whatever I am going to tell you now is without bias.

In my final year in school, I was nominated by the parish priest in school to be the chairman organising committee of the Final Year forum. I and a few others had the task to raise funds to print brochure, cook food for the whole students and buy gifts for the Chaplaincy.

I and my committee members struggled to raise funds. One faithful day, I decided to visit Chikason group in Nnewi. After speaking with a man who looked so unkept about my plight he collected my account number and after a long while, a week to the event I received an alert of #500,000. It was like a miracle. I used part of the money to pay for for brochure and the rest on food and drinks and gift for the church.

It's a long story. The man called 2 days to the event to request for an invitation. He came, saw the happiness in the face of the graduands and asked me if I still need money to solve any more problem which I declined because half a million was more than enough.

Nnewi people are stupendously rich. Igbos are rich you will hardly know because the rich ones are not in government and they live a low-key life.

When the same Forbes or others alike report similar several milestones and awards about Yorubas, a lot of Igbos instantly start throwing tantrums and discrediting such awards and reports saying it is because Yorubas infiltrated or influenced the awards or did the reporting etc etc.

Do you now see why others are able to fault this type of reports that eulogize the Igbos?

We can’t keep choosing what reports or awards we believe when it comes from the same source.

We should all learn to celebrate with those being celebrated!

This is what I keep trying to tell a lot of igbos, trading is not the future, manufacturing is the future.

U can't own a shop and be dealing on hot drinks all your life, if u deal on hot drinks u have studied the market and known the hot drink with high demand. At a point go into the manufacturing of it.

One of the reasons why I dont support Biafra is Igbo land is situated richly for an industrial hub.

My plan is since we have a small landmass, and we can't expand this land mass, why not buy thousands of acres from surrounding states with the production centres/ industries in Igbo land.

Example thousands of acres in Benue, kogi, Delta, rivers and Cross rivers with the manufacturing unit in Igbo land.

I have no doubt that Igbo land has the highest concentration of legit industrious businessmen and traders in the country though. That doesn’t necessarily mean they have the most raw cash.
