This is a good development, but Ikpeazu should invest a little money on the equipment to speed up these projects. In the picture, you will see a manual cement mixer and wheelbarrow, If he can buy a medium-size mobile batching plant like the one in the picture below the road will be finished in one/two weeks.

You are not getting it. He has no plan of working. The idea is to delay the project as long as possible to give.the impression that the state government is working.
Soon they would suspend work in the name of rain.
Abia is cursed with terrible leadership since 1999, they literally can't catch a breathe. Each successive government has been worst than the preceding one, its a non stop raping of Abia masses by the twin evils of Kalu, T.A and Ikpeazu.

Absolutely right sir.

Is there good tarred roads connectivity in aba?

What of that road that leads to the express to ph?
When it rain due to the topography of the area, rain normally enter people's homes. Has the government done something about that road? I really want to know.

The roads in Aba are OK. They are not all done though. But they are no more bad major roads except Ngwa road and PH road (I.e the road that leads to pH express you asked about). Ikpeazu has constructed covered drains along PH road (mind you the road Is a federal road o). But last week, world bank signed an agreement with world bank to construct and provide drainage to Ngwa road, PH road and environs. Follow the link below to see it on commissioner of works FB page.

Thank you. This one looks good
Pretty good, I'm very impressed. shocked

But, I think I made a mistake as the road isn't a double lane. It's the ngwa ph road. I thought the mini park there is osisioma park.
Pardon my mistake but this is fantastic.

Yes, that is the road I'm talking about. I haven't been to aba for up to 12 yrs now and I will never forget how that road deal with vehicles each time it rain. They should forget federal govt nonsense. Build that road and bill the federal govt. Any governor that can handle that road wins the heart of aba people.
Relocate the people and pay them, then get Berger to cut through the road with massive underground drainage.

Oh, just read the abstract. Why going to Dubai for Christ sake. Don't we have construction companies in Nigeria that are capable so as to cut cost?

The PH road has been expanded/graded to six lane with covered drain by Ikpeazu. The road was later left for reasons I know not. But the governor has assured that works will commence on the road alongside Ngwa road. World bank granted the loan to Abia state cos of the transparency of the govt. (So they said). So the money will definitely be put to good use as world bank will be overlooking how well the funds are put to use grin

Ikpeazu hits the streets. Flags off work on Ojike, milverton and cemetery road. Eziukwu has been completed. This is the first time in 35 years any govt will try to create a direct link btw Eziukwu and cemetery road up to cemetery market.

Aba ngwa.
I love this city too much. Their sargacity is not of this world. So resilient. Òna is my favourite food in aba.

If u happen to go to ariaria and watch people sewing shoes, they way they navigate those little stuffs is amazing etc. U will respect them. So anytime I see people who don't really know anything about people in this industrious city castigating them, I shake my head.

(The problem we all have is govt. Whether aba, anambra, ebonyi or Enugu)

These people can sew human(lol) cheesy

And as a student( she) in one of the uni in the east, once school start and babes come back with new hairdo, once u see an aba babe, u will know with her hairstyle and the artistry. Enugu, onitsha or nsukka Are learners. Most new hairstyles we rock originates from that city. And they are cheaper too.
Hand work is their calling.

So glad to see Okezie doing Aba internal roads.

Concrete work begins on immaculate road ( the graded road I posted before) . The below are pics from the
commencement of laying of concrete.

Great job Gov Okezie ! It appears he finally figured that doing concrete roads with deep gutters on both sides is the best bet to prevent the roads from going bad after 3 weeks.

Aba is finally getting some deserved attention!

Aba is a goldmine. If only Ikpeazu and co understand what they are throwing away by wasting all their time doing propaganda. Aba should look far better than Enugu considering its revenue surpasses Enugu.

So so sad people here praise mediocrity so much

what did they do at the water logged area? A serious underground drainage is needed there.

Do you mean the water logged area at Eziukwu? If yes, the entire area was excavated from the beginning to the end. The previous earth was excavated as the soil there was extremely waterlogged. It was then sand filled (the whole road actually). Then the constructed covered concrete drainage on both sides. They then layed concrete from the beginning to the end before applying tar on it. wink

I believe the threat of telegraph pushed them to do the needful. Long may it continue.
