I know Kenya has no ability to be a manufacturing hub because it has decided to depend 100% on import hence why Kenya import bill is approaching 20 billion dollars.

Here in Ghana, we have managed to reduce our import bill from 16 billion dollars to 11 billion dollars as at last year.
That is 5 billion dollars of manufacturing capacity being supplied local manufacturing companies.

Now our import substitution has worked
We have switched to being an export led economy, Hence over the last 3 years
All manufacturing companies have undergone huge expansions with the help of Ghana EXIM BANK cheap capital


This is why we need a huge power generation capacity
in 5 years time, we will increase our generation capacity to 10,000MW

They have trade deficit every given year. It's sad. But that is bound to happen when all they export in a year is just $5bn.

Ghana has issues and Nigeria certainly has some things better than them but for a small country like Ghana, Nigerians respect them for what they've been able to achieve.
Troll them all you want but they've been able to show very good human development and leadership traits.
