Power corrupt, absolute power corrupts absolutely. Lord Acton The above is not the problem with Wike. I feel it is in times like this, that we need those who can wield and exercise their power. We are in very desperate times and no more than in desperate time are desperate measures needed. In some States, Dangote trucks are used to import the viruses. We must be watchful and pray for a governor like Wike. If we had him as president, he'd stopped the virus from flying in. If the south west had him, they'd shut all the exits from Lagos and probably have lesser cases... Wike is signalling to the powerful and those held high, that the life of his people matter; and it would not be traded as is done in Kano and other states, for the economic benefit of a certain few. 398 Likes 26 Shares |

why not just shut-down the hotel instead of demolishing. Then make them pay heavy fines to reopen when covid pandemic is finally dealt with. It shouldn't just be about yielding political power with ur big head & stomach, pls think economic & environmental impact also. 282 Likes 19 Shares |

Don't u think lock down in just some selected states is kind of useless, for example ogun state is on lock down but Lagos is not, after the lock down at ogun, people will still move from Lagos to ogun thereby carrying the virus back to ogun. Doesn't that kills the motive of the lock down 65 Likes 3 Shares |

The hypocrisy Were this to be buhari doing this the people praising wike right now would have screamed blue murder.I'm certain every one here has flouted one lockdown rule or another. He's action still is illegal, and he will clearly loose out when he gets sued.At the end of the day it's with Rivers State money the hotel will be rebuilt with. There are other ways of appropriately meting out a punishment. 106 Likes 4 Shares |

The hotel owner will sue Wike and win. The funny thing is that it's Rivers state money that will be used to rebuild the hotel and pay damages for lost business and psychological devastation So, Rivers people should speak against this abuse of power on time Wait o...what kind of logic is this sef? Why not prosecute the operators of the hotel? Why demolish? So if Presidential Hotel on Aba road opens, you will demolish it? 53 Likes 4 Shares |

My own very governor aka mr project aka talk and do...pls and pls take Phedc up for blackouts in most areas in port Harcourt. Do something drastic if they dont maintain a certain level of compliance. Haba! Excercise your power at other sectors most especially the power sector. Jeez! I tire for this state o. As I am typing this I am looking at my phone battery...so to be able to see 12hrs if not 20hrs light(which is attainable) is an abomination in this country. Killing all young creative technocrats. must everything be politically motivated. I.T.T P.S.. I need suggestions for a budget wise solar powered system or inverter. And a good powerbank for laptop/smartphone of 4000mah batt. I am on a budget pls while you suggest quote me. Lalasticlala, seun(we get talk), and better mods I need ur epp 8 Likes 1 Share |

Demolish Anyone who knows the cost of building materials now will think twice before demolishing any building except it is absolutely necessary. Someone has flouted a directive, take him to court instead of this jungle justice where the complainant is the judge and the executioner at the same time. 36 Likes 4 Shares |

Nigerians will always wait to see a scapegoat before they learn to do the right thing. However, Wike must make sure that even though his intentions are noble, every action he takes must be backed by law. If it is not in the constitution or state laws that he has the authority to demolish a hotel for "simply opening its doors and going about its business'', then he'll definitely find himself in a lawsuit. 21 Likes |
