Wow, Age is a very serious factor when considering marriage. If it was just a casual relationship then I'd have no issue with this but I think your brother is either stupid or too desperate to be going for her.
It's probably coz he's never had any success with women and sees this as his only chance at getting one.
It's also possible that the woman is wealthy and he's somewhat attracted to her financial stability.
This is a marriage that clearly won't even last for 5yrs coz in her late 40s this woman will start looking like his mother.

Your brother can not just marry an elderly person just for love. It's not possible. There are so many things attached. You have to sit him down and know what it involves. Obviously, the lady will be more intelligent than him and she might be playing an intelligent games on your brother.
But you have to caution him. Some of those ladies, the moment they have the children they are looking for, they will discard the guy. Your brother should be wise.
