Carmit:they will actually do on other forums not here. Personally I do love skyscrappers , maybe gallivant too is a fun of it, that takes us to developed cities in Bangkok, Singapore New York the supper hyped city whose definition lies on iconic Skyscrapers. I developed interest after seeing developed city coming out perfect with skyscrapper, and going with the same logic in Africa the likes of jorburg, Nairobi, Cairo, Dar and maybe Nigeria making such progress is something to be proud of, check out the reason behind super hyped Dubai city.?? Skyscrapers are just nothing bruh. 2 Likes

Shma: I'm sure I LOVE skylines more than you do. But using skyscrapers as an avenue for trolling is what I find very amusing. I can't make it up! Lagos I'm pretty sure has more high rise buildings than Nairobi but not many skyscrapers simply because of the power issue. Nairobi has taller buildings but does it translate to more economic prosperity than Lagos?... No.... OBVIOUSLY. 2 Likes |

Carmit:no one has ever said skyscrapers translates to economic prosperity, but to some countries yes. tallest tower currently in Dubai acts as a tourists attraction thus equates to economic prosperity. Do you know how expensive it is to set a skyscrapper? The reason you'll find us using skyscrapers to troll Only big cities in Africa can have a say on that, let's take example of Ghana, not on a bad note though but Ghanaian for Pete's sake claims Accra to be more expensive than Nairobi and we find it hard to urge thus end up showing them expensive structures(skyscrapers to be precise) which they can't manage to put in Ghana not because of height restrictions but moooney both I have posted several highrises which can't be found in Accra too. But the guys keep screaming they have better city. Road quality we beat them ten nil, retail sector, transport system in general. I don't know what people smoke at times 1 Like |

The corona drama is effing us all in a hundred different ways. For some its merely revealing what's long been covered up and/or disguised. Case in point,'the Giant,' or rather the airports excited juveniles have been endlessly nutting over this past 4 years. As of NOW 17 NATIONAL AIRPORTS HAVE BEEN CLOSED!? At least 17 out of the 20 airports owned and managed by the Federal Government have turned out to be unviable and have operated at a loss for three years.https://m.guardian.ng/news/17-fg-airports-not-viable-may-shut-down-over-losses/ Ofc the number of airports gives the 'appearance of development,of paramount importance to Naijjans but this is a cover for lack of proper roads and rail links. Does anybody else in the world do such hubristic malinvestment, again and again? |

Shma: Sinking further into the unpayable debt trap in order to pay the Chinese, American or whoever to build you tall buildings which doesn't fix your poverty rate whatsoever is something to "applaud"? What a retarded mindset. No wonder the majority of Africa is screwed. To actually believe that building taller towers than Berlin makes you more developed than Berlin is a new level of ret@ardation of the like ds never encountered before. I think I'll stick to valuing industry like factories for example over "cute tall buildings". 2 Likes

Both of your main points are not correct. 1. You also imports your main staple Garri. read the source below Source: https://allafrica.com/stories/201702230445.html https://shipsandports.com.ng/surprised-hear-nigerians-now-import-garri-india/ 2. If Dangote comes in to production and assume that it operates at its full capacity , even then it will be 7th not the First, Reliance India has world`s largest operational refinery (More then double what Dangote is stating) and that too is going for another big expansion Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_oil_refineries https://www.spglobal.com/platts/en/market-insights/latest-news/oil/110419-nigerias-dangote-set-to-be-africas-biggest-refinery-to-be-running-by-2021 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dangote_Refinery Lets not talk about Fuel standards as other refineries (Top 3) only produce Euro 6 / BS VI standard fuel, while in this continent we uses maximum BS II / Euro II . So even quantity is not a big deal. obaaderemi: 1 Like |

rvp2018:You can continue shouting insults till you are blue in the face, it won't save your ass from my cane. Obaboon was the same name the angry frustrated white racists called Obama- but he ignored their insolence and did his job. The same way I am going to keep ignoring your impotent insults to keep giving you free econs lessons. I know you are learning. To start with, Kenya never collected $21bn revenue, your revenue is $14bn. Your economy is $60bn and your budgets are buoyed up by debts. How else did you become China's slave? rvp2018:We cut our coat to our size. Budgets are not made based on gdp but revenue and loans like yours. We are not that careless. And you didn't grow from $12 to $100bn in just 16years. Almost 1000% growth! You should be shot for believing such nonsense. rvp2018:No, you import mostly oil and food, not capital goods. Your second biggest import is palm oil. You import maize, onions, eggs, etc. rvp2018:Our rice production is highest in Africa! Anybody bringing rice into Benin to smuggle into Nigeria is risking his money and sanity. rvp2018:We produce far more rice and maize than you do. We produce and consume more fish per capita than you do. We are africa's largest producer of eggs which we consume per capita than you. We consume more cement per capita than you, though we have 200m people and you have just 50m. Shame on you! rvp2018:We love our sorghum beer in West Africa. It's the beer for real men. Not the sissy beer you drink in Kenya. We even export some to UK. rvp2018:Your people are starving. The images of living skeletons coming out of Kenya give Africa a bad name. rvp2018:We can teach you how to reduce your trade deficits. We can teach you to own your economy. We can teach you to be Africa's largest economy. We can teach you how to build roads like we built some of your roads. And I don't care if Dangote owns the whole of Nigeria. At least he is not an Indian like your richest men. rvp2018:You can never fix your trade deficits by importing onions and eggs. Nigeria is already in Kenya owning banks and communication companies, and in your living rooms with our music and movies. You can only dream to have our kind of reach. 5 Likes 3 Shares

kikuyu1: No ...17 federal airport have not been closed. Do you have trouble understanding what you read?or is it that you don’t read what you post at all. Cos nowhere in your article was anything like airport beinb closed mentioned and here you are jumping up and down like a squirrel about something that only exist in the figment of your imagination. Those federal airport are operating on a deficit budget, they are not making enough money as much as there spending , which is not really that surprising as most government operated airport around the world spend more than they earn. 1 Like |

rationalhuman:Nigeria doesn't import garri. What you saw there was just some spurious people trying to make quick bucks. The NAFDAC didn't know of it until it was notified and the federal government investigated it. It's not like Kenyan government sanctioning importation of maize, eggs, onions, etc. You even have maize scandals involving your presidency. Don't go there, boy. There are different kinds of refineries. Dangote Refinery is Africa's biggest and the world's largest single train facility. Do you have a refinery in Kenya? Dangote refinery is a 650,000 barrels per day (bpd) integrated refinery and petrochemical project under construction in the Lekki Free Zone near Lagos, Nigeria. It is expected to be the Africa’s biggest oil refinery and the world’s biggest single-train facility, upon completion in 2020. 4 Likes
