Science and reason is no respecter of tribal sentiments. Don't you think the sensible thing to do is to be cautious in spending billions on ventilators after they have been proven not to do much in reducing the mortality rate of CoVid-19?

With Iwu's concoction, I sincerely hope it works. But the burden of proof is on Iwu. Not the government. Animal trials, clinical trials. Science has a process. My advice to him is to respect the process as a scientist that he is.

On the bold, why not give him the opportunity to prove his case, Did Madagascar went through those 'Animal, clinical "trials, yet their (President) government stood solidly behind the researchers. Guess what, the drug seems to cure the virus to the extent of sending it to Nigeria.

We have the resources in Nigeria that can dig us out of this quagmire, yet people seems not be interested in the cure, rather in $.

The Madagascar herb is a well known malaria medicine and widely Used malaria therapy. It doesn't need animal testing in My opinion. What it needs is large scale human clinical trials as it's already being done by distributing it to other countries. Madagascar does not have enough cases to confirm it's efficacy

lol. No responsible government will start giving that concoction to it's citizens to gulp down in an uncontrolled test or trial. The drugs were sent to Nigeria for trials...not as proven therapeutics.

You call that research? what kind of research bases it's findings on a test group of less than 200 patients? That is too small a sample size. Any idiot will know that. Especially with a disease that has a mortality rate of less than 2%. Meaning about 98% of the infected people are expected to fight it and self-resolve with little assistance of any drug.

Which means the efficacy of the drug was based on 2% of 198 patients in other words 4 patients.

What Madagascar president did is a charade and mockery of medical science. It's not what any reasonable leader should be doing.

Only two persons have allegedly be cured and he's claiming it a cure. .

Thank you. I wonder why people can't understand that simple fact. They just want to be emotional and jump the gun. We Africans need to wake up from our new found "wokeness" and realize patriotism and emotions and conspiracy theories can't replace science and facts no matter how long you scream and throw tantrums.

FG will not show interest in your drug because you are still the same Iwu that chaired INEC for years without any credible election or you want to tell us that you have repented from deception.
Don't worry yourself, when FG is done with the money for selfish interest, you will be called to also make a donation/contribution as a good citizen just like others.

FG and NCDC are only interested in increasing and inflating Covid-19 cases.

I don't know why an agency that is meant to curb d spread of disease is only interested in its spread and increase in cases to d extent of daily inflated figures.

Shame on NCDC. Shame on d minister of Health.

Who is our president self?
