More lies from them.

The US has not shipped Remdesivir yet since the pandemic started, they barely have enough for one-sixth of their active cases.

Unless they ramp up production or allow generics, you can bet they won't start shipping to other countries unless they take care of their own needs first.
They think we are gullible

I do feel we really need to be working on our own personal research now
Okay we've got 3 variables

•Alluvia
•Vitamin C
•Chloroquine

Now what we really need to do is cross examine the effectiveness of these drugs in minimising the effect of other pathogens

Where are my fellow virologist, microbiologist and biochemist.

Come on let's lift Nigeria from the shackles of not exploring the God given initiatives we all have.

God bless Nigeria.

This doctor should be fired.

Aluvia or any other HIV drug does not kill any virus, not HIV nor coronavirus. HIV drugs contain the virus, they don't kill it. That's why patients can still infect others. Also there's absolutely no drug now that kills the 2019 coronavirus.

Also the claim that the treatment was agreed with the WHO and the UN is false.

One, the WHO is the UN body for global health matters, so one can't meet with both on health issues as that's redundant and a waste of time and resources.

Two, the WHO has not approved any drug, including chloroquine, to treat Covid-19. The WHO has even actively discouraged the use of chloroquine because it has no effect on Covid-19 and has dangerous side effects.

For Covid-19, vitamin c does not create new cells damaged by the virus, it assists in the absorption of iron, which helps the blood transport oxygen in a body starved of 02.

This people will just say anything even when they've no clue what to do, and are simply trying everything.

That's how the health minister claimed they used remdesivir, when that treatment is barely available even for the US, with a total supply right now of only about 200,000 doses.

I am utterly shocked to hear that is the dr heading the management team in Abj.
I didn't bother reading further when he said WHO approved CQ for treatment of Covid!
Which WHO?
He went further to mention some other drugs that factually don't have any role in management of Covid.
He must be managing something else and not Covid.
Despite it being commonly known, some Nigerians,to even know some are medical professionals, are peddling this wrong notion that they are treating Covid in those isolation centres, when in actual fact, there is no treatment for now.
What is done is done there is to hopefully wait for the virus to run it's course in the human body aided by the body's natural defensive abilities, depending on the individual, while giving patients supplements and supportive therapy for symptoms arising from the illness.
Any Dr peddling any notion of treatment at the isolation centre needs to be investigated.

Fine. If you where a doctor handling these cases, what would you be doing differently.

Please don't bring me a non existent vaccine story.

Would you do nothing and keep castigating any effort to keep people alive?

You may even be one of those who align with WHO in their flip-flop reports of inconsistencies .

If I'm a doctor I'll do exactly as the WHO and other professional medical bodies actually studying and researching the virus say, especially when such bodies played a role in containing and studying other coronavirus epidemics such as SARS and MERS, and the Ebola virus.

Since there's no drug tp treat the coronavirus, almost every country hospitalizes only severe and critical cases, with mild cases sent home.

For the really sick, they usually hydrate them with electrolytic solutions and antibiotics for secondary infections, and hope for the best. The critical ones are those patients who've gone into full-blown respiratory distress and are those assisted with machines like vents or ECMOs to stand a fighting. Those kind of very sick patients are the ones who likely will die.

As for the ones with mild and asymptomatic conditions, they're simply isolated or sent home to self isolate until they get better.

Yes the vaccine is non-existent outside of labs, but I'll likely come.

Good, now do you want those infected but aren't in critical State to do nothing and degenerate?

Now, they have performed some treatment trials and discovered that the viral load reduced and sometimes the person is completely recovered.

Isn't that good? Doesn't it tell us that we are doing something right?

I know science to be about experiment and observations. Dismissing any and every opinion on what you claim to be novel is not smart. Unless you already have the answer somewhere and waiting for a time to bring it out.

These approach by the organizations you mentioned have fueled suspicion and helped conspiracy theories.

I believe you should know this.

Whether mild or severe cases, there's very little doctors can do to cure anyone. Those with mild cases, which is a great deal more of infected patients, recover.

There's no cure for now and beyond Remdesivir, there's nothing right now that seems to work.

We've told you, they're not "performing some treatments and trials", they simply bed very sick patients and wait for then to either get well on their own or die.

In many isolation centers there are no doctors present, only a few nurses and lab techs.

I don't know how much more of this needs to be emphasized before you people understand it.

Covid19 is not a death sentence

There's no cure for it yet.

Chloroquine does not work.

Funny enough the picture below was grabbed a few minutes ago.

Chloroquine alone is what is working so stop deceiving us , Chloroquines antiviral and anticoagulant characteristics is a death blow to to the COVID Virus which does nothing but coagulate the human blood so much the blood can't pick up or transport oxygen . At this point there is no COVID patient I cannot recover I swear

And people are saying approaching 200 already.
