The Chairman, Five Star Group, Emeka Okonkwo aka E-Money, has left police custody after six hours of interrogation, The PUNCH has learnt.

E-Money, it was learnt, arrived at the Police Headquarters Annex, Kam Salem, Obalende, Ikoyi, around 1pm in a wine-coloured suit.

He was subsequently grilled for about six hours by the Inspector-General of Police, Monitoring Department.

A top source said, “E-Money visited the Force HQ annex today and met with police detectives and was grilled for about six hours. He came along with two others and responded to many questions. Somebody took his bail and he was allowed to leave and return on Wednesday for more questioning.”

The IG, Mohammed Adamu, had placed E-Money under investigation over his flamboyant lifestyle and alleged flagrant abuse of police escorts, The PUNCH gathered.

Okonkwo, who is the brother to musician, Kingsley Okonkwo aka K-Cee, was said to have drawn the ire of the police boss for allegedly using policemen like domestic servants.

An order, it was learnt, was immediately handed to the Lagos State Police Command to withdraw the six policemen attached to E-Money.

A top police officer said, “We received a signal from the Force headquarters on Monday that the police detail of music executive, E-Money, be immediately withdrawn and an investigation into the man be launched.

“The IG was surprised that policemen were attached to him in the first place and were being used like domestic servants, carrying umbrellas, opening doors and doing menial jobs for him.

“The policemen were discovered to be attached to B Operations at the command headquarters and not MOPOL which is the usual practice. So, we have withdrawn his policemen and we are inviting him for questioning. The policemen will also be interrogated.”

So at this age, IG is not aware his boys are protecting the few rich men and women in our society.

Even one of my uncles who is nowhere in the rich men book of my state has two-three policemen guarding him.

In other words, the IG needs to be informed of what he knows already.

Police wants to interrogate him for his flamboyant life style? When did it become an offence to live flamboyantly if you've the means to sustain it? Why haven't they also probed the abject poverty of millions on the streets of Nigeria?

Using police escort that you paid for and also was approved by their superiors, cannot be a crime

That's y Buhari quickly turned d 3rd fastest growing economy to d poverty capital of the world,yet still has a fanatical support base among abokkis.
Hypocritical abokki IG is pretending that all thru his years in the police service,he doesn't know there's a special protection unit in the police force where private individuals pay and get policemen attached to them.

Living a flamboyant lifestyle shouldn’t be a crime and it shouldn’t be an avenue to witch-hunt by the Police but the abuse of à police officers attached to him as orderlies is what should be of concern.

On a lighter note, why refer to the attached police aides as Orderlies when he can not order them around in peace ?

So it's a crime now to show off , the police might choose to open the car doors themselves as sign of being loyal, they should allow the guy. Person need to be celebrating freedom from poverty, He has business chains , money he is making from shipment clearing alone
