Crackle effect is an antique look finish which can be achieved by a 3 level coat system.
Firstly the application of acrylic base coat,followed with an intermediate crackling glaze,subsequently finish with acrylic topcoat tinted to a contrasting colour of the base coat. while the cracking will cause the topcoat to shrink and crack revealing the base coat.
