fiizznation: Bla bla, bla bla... All of una just dey run una finger... Most of the European nation adopted lockdown measure when they have been terribly hit , Italy and Spain was one. Donald trump refuse to lock down because of the economy, but when he saw how people were going down, he was forced to adopt lockdown. And for Nigeria, with the whole world trembling, we didn't know how bad we have been hit, because of lack of test kit.. It was a wise move to lock down... To at least cut down the spread if we have been hit. Within few weeks, we could assertain how deep we are in it. Most state were able to know how bad they are hit and what to do next when lock down is dropped. But most of u just come out and run ur mouth. Despite what u people are seeing as nothing, I know we are a ticking time bomb. Comparing us to Madagascar... Una well at all? How many cases do they have 1 Like 1 Share |

Jadsy01:With the figures in borno state, the government should have followed the method the Federal government used in easing the lockdown in Abuja . Maybe the Federal government should impose a lockdown in borno state since the state government can't do that. This action which the borno state government has taken makes it obvious that they don't believe the coronavirus is real. The social distancing rule was flouted in markets, banks, nearby market streets across the streets etc across the country. The rush by the borno state government to "suspend" the lockdown indefinitely is suspicious. |

kkkp:total waste of time.what do u expect when govt centralize development in the urban areas, making over population in those areas. You lockdown an area that has 20 to 40 occupants in a compound and these pple might need to go fetch water in a neighbouring compound, hw do they manage? |
Re: Borno Government Suspends Lockdown Indefinitely by fiizznation: 9:24am On May 14, 2020 |
martowskin1:ok oga since you believe lockdown has actually reduced the spread of the virus; it will really be wise of you to advice the countries that are opening up their economies to remain on lockdown forever. I will say it again, lockdown is/was a waste of time in the first place. Whether you lockdown or don't, already many people have the virus with them. Do you even have an iota of idea about how NCDC are doing the testing? Do you know that there are people out there with the virus that will never subject themselves to NCDC testing kits? My friend you better wake up from your sleep 4 Likes |

Jeromejnr: I wonder o! How would the whole country have been acquainted with the severity of the virus if those drastic measures weren't put in place ab initio? Even at that, some still don't take the situation seriously -- some don't even believe the virus exists! Actually, we locked down later than sooner, without the lockdown, we probably would have been doing Italy or Spain figures! 1 Like |

fiizznation:Lock down helps in controlling the spread.... if lock down weren't imposed on Italy,France or Spain, their death toll would have been 4x.....Lock down helps flatten the curve after peaking.... They did massive testing during the lock down,it enabled contact tracing nd fishing out infected persons, since if u don't move, the virus doesn't move..... now they are easing lock down after months of sacrifice. Germany got it under control, they eased lock down, new infections rose again.... Same with Ghana. without lock down, the numbers u are seeing in naija now will be 3x this. How rapid the virus spreads means a lot of people can contract it within a short period...without lock down to calm the speed of the spread, the whole country can get infected over a short period of time. I followed America from the onset... if early lock down measures were taken, the fatalities wouldn't have been this much..... even during the 1918 Spanish flu virus pandemic... lock down slowed its effects.... but the biggest fatalities nd infections occurred when governments eased lock down. May God help us. 1 Like |
