Hello everyone I applied and submitted my application for study permit yesterday and I just got an email saying my application status has changed. I just checked my page and downloaded a biometrics instruction letter saying I should do my biometrics before August 13, 2020. Please is this a good sign? |

Guys, I just noticed something now while checking through my records. I have submitted my Canadian student study application some 3weeks ago (first timer). However, I was once denied F1 student visa in USA sometimes in December 2018. While I was checking through my printed papers for the USA app today, I realized that I made mistake on my dad's birthdate. I never realized this until today. In completing my Canada study visa, all details are properly filled, and I also submitted his voters card as part of client information, I submitted same for my mom and siblings. Now my question is this, I understand that USA and Canada do share information about applicant. I just want to know if anyone knows whether they shared all information about applicant, including parent, sponsor and work experience details. I would appreciate the response of anyone who knows the extent of this information being shared. And I anyone has once be denied visa to USA and then successfully get Canada visa even thou some details change from their first application to the successful one. I appreciate every one for their contribution. |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Chukwuemeka101: 4:04pm On May 15, 2020 |
Ujeinijobog: Nope. You need to do medicals before approval , Note= the study permit has a lot of challenges before getting ...you need serious prayers on it ...and don't rush things ......don't start telling everyone about it, Because is a two way things ,either refusal or approved Whichever one that comes. Don't give up 2 Likes 1 Share |

This might sound like a rookie question. How often do people with PHD admission get refused? Are gift deeds acceptable? i.e. my dad giving me money and signing a deed of gift to show that he has given me the money? |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by ndoeyopbennet: 4:46pm On May 15, 2020 |
jjohndoe83: Anyone can get refused for incomplete documentation or other issues here and there. However, PhD applicants seldom get refused because of the following: 1. They are almost always funded (tuition+living expenses in most of the cases) 2. Only reputable institutions have PhD programmes. The institution one is admitted to plays a key role in getting a visa, as my research has shown. 3. PhD students have clear study plans, purpose, and job prospects. 4. They are not usually desperate. If you can get admitted to a PhD in Canada, you can get admitted anywhere else. These are some of the reasons. However, like I said, some PhD applicants can be refused based on home ties or improper documentation. Which PhD programme were you admitted into? 2 Likes 2 Shares |

Hello @mr Frankrobbin. I'll give this study permit journey a last shot this time. I believe it was the POF which was 2 months late that messed up this 2nd application. Any other reason should have been pointed out in the first application, i literally didn't change but even added job info and family ties info (basis for the first refusal). While I wait for the gcsm notes, How can i pm you please so you can go through this SOP, i believe its concise and void of unnecessary info. |

Frankrobbn1: My brother, I guess you're keeping safe! My opinion and contribution is this: Being able to secure an employer outside of Canada recognized by IRCC and eligible to do so by meeting all IRCC employment requirement is something of tedious nature and may seem almost impossible. Most times, some of this employer don't consider such herculean tasks worthy when their available options are been weighed. I think PNPs and FSWP are still of better preferences than AIPP and ANIP especially for Nigerians, in spite of their little flexible requirements in IELTS score, educational credentials and funds. One love! |

GucciOluwa: @GucciOluwa, Please see the comments below as per your enquiry. 1. You can submit the normal account which has adequate funds in it. There is no need submitting your salary account since there is little or no funds saved in there. Pay stubs plays a pivotal role for applicant's who are gainfully employed, it gives the visa officer an overview of your salary structure and tax deductions. So include it as well 2. Speaking from my vast experiences in handling study permit, PNP's and PR applications. I have colleagues that applied for permanent residency, and reading from the GCMS notes they shared with me, I find out that most often the visa officers are not satisfied with mutual funds statement for POF. The mutual funds statement were tagged as RR (Review Required) in their notes. This is simply because the Visa officer thought that the funds in the investment statement is encumbered by debt or other obligations and thus might not be readily accessible by the applicants. So, I had to advise them (PR applicants) to liquidate the funds in their investment account and deposit it into their account, then raise a CSE to the processing visa centre. Having done what I told them their application moved from Review Required to ELIGIBILITY passed as evidenced in the subsequent GCMS notes they ordered. In view of this and from the wisdom of my experiences, I would suggest you liquidate this investment and provide a brief explanation as to the LIQUIDATION of the investment before the time of application. 3. I don't think it's very necessary to provide explanation to the 10M that will be coming in 3M trenches into your husband's account considering that there have been history of 3M in the account in the last 4-6 months. You only provide explanation if there haven't been any traces of such amount in his account statement. 4. This is a critical situation for you. How do you intend to cope without your husband when you've successfully put to bed in Canada. At this point, it's best you co-apply with your husband but your reasons for applying together shouldn't reflect or talk about your pregnancy. The visa officer might have a wrong impression that you're using study permit as a means to facilitate entry into Canada in order to give birth rather than educational advancement. Ideally, I would prefer you travel to Canada for the winter term. My reasons being that it will be very difficult and so demanding for you as a pregnant woman to adapt with the stringent educational system of Canada considering that you're heavily pregnant and due for delivery in October. More so, given that you're pregnant as at the time of application, you will not be able to undergo an X-ray test during your medical examination, as it can be very dangerous to the unborn baby. 5. You're a resident and a citizen of Nigeria. So, CUAC Ghana office is not applicable to you. I would suggest you use your home country as the country of citizenship and where you're applying from for your study permit. 6. In the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns as regards your application. Do not hesitate to reach here for professional assistance and/or advise. It will end in praise 1 Like 1 Share |

Kellymaria:Since it is only your dad's date of birth, then you don't have any problem. His ID will sort that out(it is not a serious mistake). I want to believe you declared that you have been denied US visa before? That is the main thing to be scared of |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Lekiboboe: 7:22pm On May 15, 2020 |
Hello everyone, guess y'all staying safe.. I got a quick question to ask ,more or else like a clarification I wasn't able to pay My tuition in CAD$ , so my skool told me I can pay in USD $,... So my Dad (Sponsor) withdrew some amount of money from his First Bank Account in Naira , changed them to USD $ and paid it into his FCMB Domiciliary Bank.. So its thru the FCMB domiciliary account he paid my tuition fee and it was the TELEX receipt (FCMB) I sent to the sch. they used to send me my TUITION PAYMENT RECEIPT The FIRST BANK Account , thats where the funds for my Sponsorship, L.E., Proof of Funds etc. are located My question is that, hope it doesn't mean anything otherwise that my Sponsor used his FCMB Domiciliary account to pay my tuition fee instead of his first Bank account (with lot of Funds) Thanks... |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by GucciOluwa: 7:25pm On May 15, 2020 |
Frankrobbn1: Thank you very much @Frankrobbn1. I really appreciate your detailed response. I will go ahead and liquidate the funds into my account. ~About the CUAC, the Ghana office caters for West African applications. I haven’t began my application yet but honestly, I’m seriously considering it. ~ Is it wise for my husband to apply for a visitor’s visa first or just go ahead and apply for an “F2” visa? (my apologies, I don’t know what it’s called.) Thanks again. I believe it will end in praise. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by mcobex: 7:31pm On May 15, 2020 |
Lekiboboe:Nothing to worry about, just make sure you include the proof of payment from the bank and also your tuition receipt. The proof of payment from the bank should bare the name of your dad, while the receipt from school bares your name. You and your dad should explain the payment in your SOP and sponsorship letter respectively. Good luck 1 Like |

mcobex:Thanks @mcobex Yes we did all of that as u mentioned, I explained how he paid the money etc. in my SOP, & He explained more of it in details in his LETTER OF SPONSORSHIP Though he didn't talk about the First Bank Conversion of funds to USD $ and using his FCMB Domiciliary account to pay my tuition fee.... Should my Sponsor and me aswell also talk about that in his LETTER of Sponsorship & My SOP Thanks.. |
