A 23-year-old man, Uchenna Mbahotu, has been arrested by the Imo State Police for allegedly defiling two underage sisters.

The suspect was living in the same compound with the 11 and 9-year-old sisters he allegedly abused, the Imo State Police spokesperson, Orlando Ikeokwu, said.

According to reports, he was trusted by the girls' parents, so, he abused that trust by allegedly abusing the girls sexually.

Ikeokwu, who said the suspect would be charged at the conclusion of investigation, stated that Mbahotu took advantage of his familiarity with the victims to defile them.

According to him, personnel of the Orji Police Divisional Headquarters arrested the suspect.

The PPRO stated, “On May 13, 2020, based on a report by the mother of the victims from Nkwo Orji, Owerri North Local Government Area of the state, operatives of the Divisional Police Headquarters, Orji, arrested one Uchenna Mbahotu, 23.

“The complainant reported that the said Uchenna Mbahotu defiled her two daughters, aged 11 and nine.

“She further stated that the suspect took advantage of the fact that her family allowed the kids to get close to him as a next door neighbour to perpetrate the evil act.

"However, medical examination conducted on both children revealed that only one was defiled.”

Went through the write up, the investigation and or details provided is very poor , just ranting on how he was a trusted neighbor, nothing about his tactic , his reason , and most especially other victims .

honestly! I have two neighbours, the first is a couple who allow their children to visit a young guy living on his own. The kids are aged 5 and 7. Both are boys...
What makes the entire thing messed up is that everyone knows that the dude is into yahoo. He brags about it. Yet everyday this children go into his home and stay there for the entire day even when the parents are around.
Like if these kids are sodomized by the guy/his many friends or used for rituals, the mother and father would cry their eyes out as if they didn't contribute to the unfortunate situation.
This is Nigeria. Parents should guard their kids...

from what I can read, she has been abused earlier but she didn't talk, why can't she talk because I know that if they go to church and in some other schools they are told that if you should experience such and such talk to so so so person, and some children do actually talk but most of them are just maybe too scared to talk.
But a lot could have been prevented if they would just talk before it's too late
