I told one nairalander who opened a thread stating that numbers in Lagos is reducing not to mention it, that NCDC staffs are here monitoring what people are saying but he ignored. Do you see what you have caused? onuku 6 Likes |

Just cede Lagos to Benin Republic and the tension is gone. You can't keep the whole nation in bondage because of a mere group or people with no social norm nor principles. The lifestyle in Lagos is disgusting. It's a sharp contrast to what's obtainable in Port Harcourt, Enugu, Abuja, Uno, Abakaliki, Benin City, Kaduna, Owerri or Ibadan. Why won't their numbers soar? 2 Likes |

Well it’s no longer a pandemic but an endemic now so we can live with it, I don’t see what all the panic is for, are you gonna lockdown a state because you don’t want people to get HIV? If no then the same applies to COVID-19. 1 Like |

u11ae1013: I am not scared of the disease, the fatality rate of COVID-19 is less than 10% and I live in a place where people take it seriously. WHO and many countries like S. Korea, Germany and Singapore, have shown that the only way to defeat this virus is to test extensively, that way you know who has the virus and be able to isolate them from the public. Nigeria is under-testing for COVID-19 and it normally doesn't end well that way. The US, UK, Italy, Brazil and Spain, who didn't carry out extensive early testing suffered the consequence. If Nigeria doesn't expand its testing capacity, she may be used as a case study in a few months down the lane. 1 Like |

bigpriik: You won't even be allowed into any of the testing centres without an appointment. Sane Nigerians are actually dialling that NCDC number every minute to book an appointment. Many hospitals are sending samples to NCDC as well. Before the current lockdown, Lagos state had more than 1000 untested samples. Some companies also collect samples of staff and send to NCDC for confirmation. Of course, the educated illiterates will sit back to doubt even their own existence. 2 Likes |
