Just cede Lagos to Benin Republic and the tension is gone. You can't keep the whole nation in bondage because of a mere group or people with no social norm nor principles. The lifestyle in Lagos is disgusting. It's a sharp contrast to what's obtainable in Port Harcourt, Enugu, Abuja, Uno, Abakaliki, Benin City, Kaduna, Owerri or Ibadan. Why won't their numbers soar?
what are u saying? Do u know d population of lagos and constricted land mass and cosmopolitan nature

They need to Lockdown Lagos for straight 3months, if they want to eradicate this virus anytime soon in that state..... Total Lockdown oh, no be play when dem dey play so.

NB: Effects of the partial easing of Lockdown has not started reflecting on the daily confirmed cases yet, that is supposed to start as from 14 days .... Which begins from this coming Monday

It is quite unfortunate that Nigeria/Nigerians are still playing with this virus.

Some still do not believe it exist... lol

Not until they start seeing fatalities like what they had in Europe and America.... the government and the people of Nigeria are not going to sit up.

but I know say
OUR GOD NO GO SHAME US Las Las

3 months? More people will die of attacks and hunger than corona. The number one reason a lockdown won't work is because government cannot take care of its citizens. We saw what happened the first time within just 2-3 weeks, everywhere with security issues. If the head is gone bad, what can the body do

Latest findings by virologists and pandemologists show that clothe masks has little effect against covid19 cos it CANNOT filter out the virus.clothe masks absorbs lots of moisture thereby making it a breeding ground for bacteria.Surgical masks are very effective, but should be discarded after each use.N95 &KN95 masks are the bests as they are very effective and can be reused up to 25 times if properly sanitized. Please this is especially for health workers and medical personells.STAY SAFE

The objective of cloth masks to to slow transmission rates. Cloth masks slow the range of infectious droplets from 9 feet plus to less than 1 foot. This is why they are being used all over the world. Surgical maskz were never intended to protect against viral elements. They were aimed at blood splatter at close quarters during surgery. The N95 mask you are touting are good but their limited numbers have pushed health officials around the world to say they should be limited to health professionals in the line of fire. Quite apart from this, hard masks such as the N95 have low rates of diffusion meaning that coughing by the wearer spreads the infectios droplets sideways- which is a real bummer if you are in enclosed spaces.

Truth there is no perfect solution. The key is to wash hands frequently and keep social distances and hope your name isn't on any particularly heavy viral loaded infectious droplets.

I see another lock down in lagos. I saw a news headline on Al Jazeera about plan to test about 11million residents of Wuhan again in just 10days and I keep wondering why my country hasn't even tested close to 50 thousand. What happened to the 1dollar test kit Senegal produced, if our government are serious about fighting this corona shit, they would be doing more test instead of this lock down scam that we have in place

You won't even be allowed into any of the testing centres without an appointment. Sane Nigerians are actually dialling that NCDC number every minute to book an appointment. Many hospitals are sending samples to NCDC as well. Before the current lockdown, Lagos state has more than 1000 untested samples. Some companies also collect samples of staff and send to NCDC for confirmation. Of course, the educated illiterates will sit back to doubt even their own existence.

Total lockdown for three months? Are you the one that will be feeding people? Stupid talk. Because you have enough food on your table, so everyone is the same? You can lock yourself up if you want.

We are in a total dilemma.
Easing the lockdown is exposure to risk, extension of lockdown leads to severe hunger and crime rate.
This is a mess.

Lie about what? That it's Brazil's turn now and maybe Nigeria's turn soon.
Three weeks ago Brazilian President denied COVID-19 in the country, today the country is digging thousand upon thousands of graves and burying people in mass.

In just 3 weeks?

So how many weeks has corona use in Nigeria now, why are people not falling down and die, oga! Carry ur pessimism one side, Nigeria can't be as bad as Europe.

Well with Nigeria more less back to default, it's either we become like Sweden ie managing it without completely shutting down or we become a major world hotspot. The presidential task force should explain why we're still testing like 2 months ago . Maybe we're paying for the decay of laboratories and research institutions since 2000

It's too late for that. The effects of the last two weeks will last for months to come unless Nigeria suddenly turns to Wuhan in terms of management grin sad

What I don't understand is that despite the lockdown or partial lockdown in states such as Kano, Rivers, Ogun, Delta etc. The virus cases are increasing.
