Frankrobbn1: Hello Frankrobbin, permit me to ask, I have a mutual fund investment I have been building up for a while now, and I have specifically written to them to issue me a statement to the Canadian embassy for this purpose, are you implying the statement does not hold water enough? If they carry out due diligence as earlier implied, they should know people have mutual funds which is basically a good investment these days especially this period of low interest rates, should I go ahead and use the investment letter specifically written to the embassy informing them of my investment with the firm. |

ralfudoh: Please this is not nice for anyone to be using as a case study. The guy was good enough to open up everything in this forum. If you have answer, suggestions or advice then give, not to castigate him. The guy is looking for a solution that's why he ran here. I believe most people here are in the same shoes but just can't open up or be truthful to themselves because it's not pleasant to the ear. I have a friend in Philippines who was previously denied of tourist visa to USA and also over stayed in the USA when finally granted, but she was still granted a Canadian student visa without rejection. It's not just Nigeria these thing happen. From the guy's statements, I believe he wasn't happy with the lies and he wasn't the one that submitted the application. I think when applying for USA visa you don't submit or upload documents apart from your passport. The only thing is the marriage, employment stuff and the mother's name. Please do not castigate, rather provide solution and if you don't have solution, pass. My thought tho 9 Likes |

Good morning everyone, this is my first time commenting in this trend however have been a passive read the trend and I find it informative. I want to ask a question, I tried apply to a college and have been given pre acceptance letter and was asked to pay an enrollment fee then all possible documents will be sent to for visa application. But all this was before the pandemic, I am supposed to have paid since a month ago but I have as I really don't know the condition of everything right now. Asking if this you advise me to pay and continue the process or wait till the whole covid stuff is over. The resumption date is October 5. Thank you |

Alwaysgetbetter: "The agreement authorizes development of arrangements under which the United States may send an automated request for data to Canada, such as when a third country national applies to the United States for a visa or claims asylum. Such a request would contain limited information, such as name and date of birth in the case of biographic sharing, or an anonymous fingerprint in the case of biometric sharing. If the identity matches that of a previous application, immigration information may be shared, such as whether the person has previously been refused a visa or removed from the other country. The same process would apply in reverse when a third country national applies to Canada for a visa or claims asylum. Biographic immigration information sharing is set to begin in 2013, and biometric sharing in 2014. Under the agreement, information will not be shared regarding U.S. or Canadian citizens or permanent residents. Any information shared on travellers and asylum seekers will be handled responsibly and, as with other information sharing agreements, exchanged in accordance with relevant U.S. and Canadian laws". Quoted from US Department of State website https://2009-2017.state.gov/r/pa/prs/ps/2012/12/202065.htm As for the solution, i think other experienced gurus here can help out. 1 Like |

This is a personal decision for you to make, no one will advise you to proceed or stop. Considering the current economic situation and high number of refusals coming in, it won't be a bad idea if you wait for things to settle down, plan for Winter or Spring resumption. MavenMykael: |

Morning everyone, so i took my time & went back to IRCC page and had to read everything slowly and even the Nigerian Advisory. I deduced things. immigration is law and law supposedly have different interpretations. To pass the law, u must have fulfilled all possible conditions when weighed front/back or even sideways. In my case, after checklisting, i was able to deduce the reasons for my first refusal, and even particularly for the second refusal (hopefully gscms notes will agree with the latter). It was glaringly both my bloody mistakes. So my advice to us hopefuls, if you've got time, go back and read & digest things there slowly. You'll find out a whole lot we did wrongly. Still come back and lets all talk about it here. My thoughts though.. i just got rejigged, man I'm not backing down on this journey. 1 Like 1 Share |

oma22: Your view is something else! My study permit was approved on the 17th of March for Fall 2020. My husband also applied for his Open Work Permit in a joint application and was approved too. One time. Never applied before and we got it in one try. I have not had a bad experience with IRCC but I’ll still say that they have not been transparent enough with the study permit process. I have read enough experiences to come to this conclusion. None of the visa processes is transparent for Africans. Every year we are denied for reasons that don’t make sense. People are told they don’t have sufficient funds even when they’ve shown evidence they do. Some are denied for not having home ties even when leaving a husband and children behind. If we’re going to be denied, we need more than a generic reason. Visa applications are a racket in case you don’t know. Visa fees are a significant portion of revenue for consulates and embassies around the world. About 81% of applications from Nigeria are denied! You can’t tell me it’s unfair for people to be upset and bitter. Here’s a link for more clarity. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/qz.com/africa/1708714/canada-rejects-most-african-student-visa-applicants/amp/ 6 Likes |

First refusal reasons: Family ties and employment situation I didn't include any proof family ties, meanwhile advisory says Family members birth cert, even if they're not accompanying you. I didn't also include any employment info, advisory stated otherwise 2nd refusal: the whole 5 generic reasons(Fam ties, employment, travel history, purpose, Finance status) I retified the reasons for the first refusal, Only for me to include my POF which was 2-3months prior to my submission Advisory says Up to date or at best 1month prior Pee2Jay9: 2 Likes |
